That's why we need to draft/aquire a qb from a cold weather region. Henne was close coming out of Michigan. He had the physical attributes you look for, it was the head and heart that was missing. I can see Ireland's logic.

I'd take asomugha and turn Smith into a FS. He's got the ht and speed, just needs to learn to catch.

Doesn't Ireland have any resources other than the Dallas organization???

You guys dont think Jerry Jones tells his coaches a thing or two?? Al Davis (before he was senile), Paul Brown, Rooney? Ross isn't trying to coach, he's just telling his hired staff what type and form of entertainment he expects for his fans, and what will obviously make the entire team better. Listening to you comparative mouth-breathers call a multi-billionaire Michigan grad dumb, is sadly h

WRONG!!! Henne has sucked all the way back to his days at Michigan. Sparano is a coach, not a miracle worker. Now, if you want to blame Ireland for drafting Henne in the first place I can understand that. Being a scared little beotch is just the way Henne plays. It's all about heart and guts. You can't teach that.

Goatdrool calling a multi billionaire a clown. Now that's funny!!! All he did was talk to him, from that talk, Ross was so unimpressed he told Har to stay at Stanford. Never offered him a job at all. Not even as OC. Quit hating!!

Where are the quotes. Everything written is conjecture. 7.5 mill? Where'd that # come from?? The only laughing stock is this douche at the Palm Beach Post.

Until anyone hears it from the mouth of Ross or Ireland, everyone is just guessing. Especially the media. Do you really think Harbaugh would turn down 7.5 mill?? I seriously doubt Ross and Ireland would interveiw for a HC without firing Sparano first. That is just football dogma. That's why Cower reacted the way he did to the media's questions about his "wish list". The guessing m

The Mangini thing may have been for an OC position. Seriously doubt it was about HC. I think the decision to keep Sparano was made a while ago on an internal level. We've just been kept in the dark and still are.

We're not a joke!!! The reports coming out are all unsubstantiated. People are believing nothing but conjecture. My theory is that Ross and Ireland were going west to offer Harbaugh the OC job that Henning was retiring from. And were willing to pay him enough to make him the highest paid OC in football. Maybe between Ross and Ireland they would have been willing to consider him as an HC if

What's wrong with having an owner that get's off his ass, and is ready to act fast and spend money!!?? He and Ireland don't look bad, and Sparano wasn't left to twist. Tony knows that everyone ia accountable, and coming off back to back 7-9 seasons, he had to know that feelers could be put out to explore an upgrade at HC. For all we know Harbaugh was offered to be the highest paid OC in the NFL

I think the only ones who might be blind are the fans. For all we know, they went out west to offer Harbaugh the OC job, with the possibility of becoming the HC after Sparano's contract expires. More than likely Harbaugh will stay at Stanford for another year, win the PAC 12, possibly a Nat'l Championship, and then come out with Luck. I'm OK with the developements as long asw we go after a

I agree, I think he'll stay at Stanford for 1 more year with Luck. If that doesn't happen, the 49ers job makes more sense. Easy division, close to home, better talent, and a better draft pick. Although Miami offers more money, especially with no state tax.

Maybe they are reaching out too him as becoming our OC. I think that would be a more natural progression for him in ultimately becoming a HC in the NFL, possibly ours. I know he's the hot name right now, but I have my doubts about how well he'd do as a NFL HC directly out of college. It's a huge jump. A year or 2 as an OC would be more beneficial to his long term NFL career. Otherwise, if star

You left off the most obvious person: Jeff Ireland. Didn't he hire Sparano, Henning, and draft Henne? It all starts with the GM. Period.

Games are won and lost in the FO not on the field!!! The field is just the result of what the FO has done. Until we get the right FO, we'll just be an also-ran.

Before the season, the majority of us were predicting from 7-9 to 9-7. 11-5 was a fluke. Next year we'll finish about the same if not worse. This sucks...

Any schedule looks difficult if we were going into it with the players and coaches we currently have. We finished 7-9, and I don't really think we were that good.
