With as many departures we had this offseason in the secondary, I can see why we really needed to spend some top picks to solidify that area, especially in our division. I'm very optimistic that Davis is going to be a great CB for us over the years. I love a corner that agressively plays the run, it's like having an extra OLB out there. I think that Bell's days at FS are numbered. I see him

I have since been made aware of their respective 40 times. Clemons is a bit faster: 4.41 vs 4.62 Sounds like he could upgrade special teams as well as add depth and competition in the secondary.

We had both Clemson FSs to choose from with the 165th pick. Statistically Hamlin had a better career than Clemons, and is bigger at 6'2" 214 lbs opposed to 6'0" 208 lbs. Hamlin happened to go on the very next pick (166th) to Dallas. Any Clemson fans out there that can give some insight?

Deon Sanders was a bit of primadonna in his day. All the good corners are cocky and have a tude. It's all a head game out there on that island.

Pat friggin White??!! A QB??? With our 2nd overall pick??? Was he seriously the BPA?? There were no quality ILBs or DTs still on the board??? Nice scouting!!! Looks like we plan to run the hell out of the wildcat this year. So far, I'm not WOWed by our picks.

Randy Moss and Terell Owens in our division may have dictated part of the decision to go DB. Also a strong run supporter.

I think the first thing the trifecta want to address is the defense. Parcells believes in destroying the run, creating long passing downs, and then destroying the QB with dominant pass rushers. From that standpoint, I see us going front seven with our first pick. Even if it means trading up to get a specific player. I would be blown away if we took any offense with our top 2 picks. I'm think

Bringing in has-beens for draft picks. Not impressed.

It's all about the local TV contract the organization can hook up. Based on demographic and veiwership, the Marlins can't afford to pay the overpriced salaries that the current day superstar demands. The Marlins and most of the other small market teams become farm systems for the large market teams. There needs to be revenue sharing and salary cap in order for the Marlins to keep their young,

You mean other than the $6.5 mil it sucks to be him. He'd play for the friggin Edmonton Eskimos for $6.5 mil.

I think the jury is still out on how effective Brady will be. I think he'll be fine, and that they were smart to keep him. The Pats will probably trade the #3 overall pick to avoid the salary cap hit, and stockpile more draft picks. Hate to say it, but it looks like a great deal for the Pats. Basically traded a 7th rounder for a #3 overall pick.

Looking at next year's opponents, it will be very challenging to say the least, to match or exceed this year's record of 11-5. @ Tenn @ Atl @ Carolina @ San Diego (I'll be there) Home sched vs. Hou vs. Indy vs. Bucs vs. Saints All very solid teams. I can't wait!!

It was that kind of performance that got him exiled from New York. A weak arm and minimal scrambling skills will never match up against a top 5 defense. And unfortunately, you usually see the better defenses in the playoffs. Chad really benefitted from a 5th place schedule this year. Next year will be a completely different story.

I knew playing a true quality opponent would expose the many holes this team still has despite an over rated 11-5 record. Sure we got fat by barely beating a lot of bad teams, but we're still closer to 1-15 than we are 11-5. As I'm typing this, we just got the ball back, trailing 20-9. Now Ted Ginn just Fd us with a fumble. Thank you Cameron. This defense can't tackle for crap. McGahee just

We will also need solid pass protection. The Ravens give up very few yds on the ground. I think we will need to win this through the air.

I think as long as we keep Ireland and Sporano in place for a while we'll be fine.

Thanks A&O for putting on another fun year of FF. I look forward to defending my 'phins.com crew' title next year. Hopefully the real Parceland Project will crush the Fets next week and my year will be complete. Anything after that will be gravy.

Great interview with Vonnie on the Jim Rome show today. He talked about the JT sitch, the new regime, the turn around from 1-15, getting Porter the sack record, and much more. Very insightful stuff.

Penalty on first offensive play - lame. Ted Ginn's kick return - lame. Giving up 11 yds on first def play - lame. Absolutely no pass rush - really lame. We need to concentrate on starting better. The truely good teams do.
