We had both Clemson FSs to choose from with the 165th pick. Statistically Hamlin had a better career than Clemons, and is bigger at 6'2" 214 lbs opposed to 6'0" 208 lbs. Hamlin happened to go on the very next pick (166th) to Dallas. Any Clemson fans out there that can give some insight?

It's all about the local TV contract the organization can hook up. Based on demographic and veiwership, the Marlins can't afford to pay the overpriced salaries that the current day superstar demands. I think the jury is still out on how effective Brady will be. I think he'll be fine, and that they were smart to keep him. The Pats will probably trade the #3 overall pick to avoid the salary cap hit, and stockpile more draft picks. Hate to say it, but it looks like a great deal for the Pats. Basically traded a 7th rounder for a #3 overall pick.

It was that kind of performance that got him exiled from New York. A weak arm and minimal scrambling skills will never match up against a top 5 defense. And unfortunately, you usually see the better defenses in the playoffs. Chad really benefitted from a 5th place schedule this year. Next year will be a completely different story.
