i wouldn't mind bringing back Chambers... since leaving here he hasn't enjoyed success, however i think he could be useful. the year he spent in SD he averaged 2 catches per game, for 462 yards, ave 14 yds per catch.
id at least entertain the idea of having a Ginn/Bess/Chambers/Hartline/Camarillo rotation at wr. Figure he's not going to demand much as a f/a, what do you have to lose?

I'm listening to Mike Francesa rip Rex Ryan...
he's basically tearing into the team for their cocky attitude... he's saying they should shut up and play football...
"now you've become clowns"
"You're ordinary, shut up"
... I'm loving this.

looking ahead to the Pats game, i see the next 5 wks are going to be crucial...
NE plays us twice 11/8(a) and 12/6(h), @ Indy, @ N.O., and home vs the Jets.
in the same time span, our opponents are: NE 2x, vs TB, @ Car, @ Buf (11/29)
I'll take our remaining schedule any day.
their record now stands at 5-2, 2 games ahead of our 3-4
whether I'm being optimistic or realistic, i coul

i think it was about momentum more than anything else... to take the wind out of NYJ sails... other than that, i cant think of a single reason. i didn't hate the move even after it failed, because of the potential pay off... i like having a coach with cojones...

"From what I've seen of Ginn, I think he could be a solid #1 WR if he'd just hold on to the ball."
- True, but with his speed, and explosiveness he could be an incredible #2 'speed threat' going deep and as a return specialist...
I may be the only one here to think so, but Ginn could be a great #2, Bess is our #3, Hartline/Turner need to mature while they spell our #2/#3 receiv

while i agree the #9 is a little much to live up to, don't you all realize how many busts there have been in the top 10...

after all, it does happen in professional sports, just look at former NBA Ref Tim Donaghy and his ties to Vegas betting lines and fixes, not to mention calling games for the Gambino crime family... if this sport goes down that route (if it hasnt already) it will lose this fan right here.

agreed. V Jackson (size), Ginn (speed), Bess (quickness/hands) would be a great group, with Hartline and Turner developing. Gotta love the O now that Henne is under center. im all for adding ONE star wideout this offseason, and im not about to commit a high pick in the draft seeing how Ginn turned out (3 yrs after the fact, we're still waiting for his breakout year...)

i also think the Browns got the better of this trade. 2 undisclosed picks, reportedly in the 3rd (conditional) and 5th round, along with WR Stuckey and LB Trusnik is a big price to pay. Edwards is a good wr, but has a tendency to be a cancer. With a rookie qb i expect there to be a number of interceptions, and a disgruntled wide receiver group. For an example look at Terrell Owens...

i think the FO will treat White much the same as Henne last season. He will be used sparingly, in the final minutes of a blow out (going either way) and that next season, with another TC and off season program, we'll see White run the Wild Cat with the added dimension of passing.. and hopefully we'll have a true #1 marquee receiver to throw to.

I think Ginn knows he's treading on thin ice, and it shows when he plays. The guy needs to use his instincts, that's what it took to make all the plays he made in college. He's still one of the fastest guys out there on the field.
With Henne's first win under his belt, maybe he and the coaching staff will be looser next Monday night. It would be beautiful for Chad to open it up and bomb it

It wasn't about Ginn v. Quinn, personally. If the team were smart back in 07, we'd have drafted the guy that went #10, Amobi Okoye. Drafted at 19 yrs old, huge smarts, and is now dominating on the Texans D-line... Imagine a rotation of Langford, Merling, Okoye at DE, Soliai, and Fergie, at NT... If Parcells were running the show back in 07, no doubt Okoye would have been the pick, IMO.

it would be nice to have Boldin #1 Ginn #2 Bess #3 and R Brown / Cobbs in the back field. All we would need to do is wake up Fasano, and that would be an offense Henne could thrive in.
who/what would we need to trade for that to happen?

j/k... i thought it was significant because the report proved true what so many of us on here were hoping for and speculating, that Chad Pennington become a QB mentor and coach...
now i don't want to be one of "those people" but hey, if you don't like what i have to say, you don't have to read it.
As for your twitter reference, this isn't even close. i hate twitter, Paying clo

to see on the sidelines, Chad Pennington huddling his offensive players, getting them all on the same page, planning out the offense. I'm sad he wont be out there Sunday afternoons anymore. Chad took command of the team, something fans hadn't seen any resemblance of since Marino. Chad would get in the faces of 'his' players, holding them accountable for their play, demanding they give it theyr

-That is exactly why we should give him extended time (to see if he can handle the load) and exactly why we should not put Pat White in the starting role.

... report just said "Don't count out Chad Pennington from not returning next season." i always had a problem with double-negatives, i'm assuming he meant chad will likely be somewhere else next year. even with soon-to-be 3 throwing shoulder surgeries, would someone give a 33 (?) y/o with an injured 'noodle' a position @ starting QB?
after all, we did
for his sake, i hope yes.

If Henne can take the reigns of this team, and become the incumbent starter, hopefully next year we will make a serious effort to bring in an elite WR to grow with Henne. Now that a lack of arm strength wont be the problem, hopefully we can work on our aerial assault. IMO we have a glaring need at wr/te.
2010 Draft/free agency:

2. OLB

agreed. we're not falling into another 'Wannestadt' position, with a pick somewhere around #20-25 giving false hope and the belief that we're "close enough" to make a run w/o having the ammo to do it. Look on the bright side, we

while i agree that his heart will tell him he can still play (he is a qb after all) i think Chad is intelligent enough to know that he must listen to his body. What better place to begin his coaching career than for the GM (then coach) that drafted him. the sky is the limit for Pennington, still, and i hope the dolphins reward his knowledge of the game with a coaching opportunity. I only hope
