I could live with that draft pick because of his "Relentless" tag. But... I think in a perfect world that they would prefer someone at least 6'4" to narrow the throwing lane w/ the ever increasing use of zone coverage.

I don't see this rumor at all. Ronnie Brown was a huge part of turning this team around. It wasn't just the wildcat...Or his locker room presence... But he was willing to play whatever role asked of him even though that meant less carries. Alot of fans were crying last year at this time that Ronnie would need about 2 years to get near to previous form. Before his injury, he was leading

> NFL.com four fools all choose WR for 1st round. > Mostly Britt. They're convinced, I'm not quite > yet:... It's as if these experts forget everything they know about Parcells. He lothes to take a receiver that high...it is well documented. Our draft board is set positionally (horizontal). If we have players with an equal rank...we will select the player that can pressure

I believe that Ireland and company will always default to a pass rusher as a draft priority. I'm not sure if Maybin will still be on the board (he's been all over/ some have him as top ten material), but he looks a lot like D

I expect the Phins to add some more big, strong, smart, high character players. Here is how I see our first 4 picks shaking out. 1) 25... OLB Aaron Maybin 6'4" 250 (Penn State) 2) 44... CB Sean Smith 6'4" 215 (Utah) 3) 56... NT Ron Brace 6'3" 330 (Boston College) 4) 87... TE/H Travis Beckum 6'3" 245

Remember that this regime will have a much more scaled down draft board. They will skip over players that have character questions, size limits, & that are not as smart as they prefer. Basically, you are looking for big...smart...leaders.

The early reports are that it is a 4th rounder, which would move us up 18 positions...placing us ahead of the Bill, Jets, & Patsies in the 4th round. I hope we choose wisely, that Welker pick just might keep on giving.

Joe Berger will be the backup center and backup centers are expected to be ready to play. Berger is a player that Sparano is very familiar with and his signing made Satelle expendable.

I really like this player and mentioned him in a previous thread in getting him in a trade down scenario. Yet, his numbers at the combine got alot of scout attention. He may not last until our JT pick. But, having that extra second rounder does allow us to reach a little on players we really like. Barwin is VERY athletic (basketball player) and also has the ability to line up on offense as

I believe that our position in the draft is ideal for a trade down. Get our players of need and add an extra selection. Of course, there are a couple of players that could fall to #25 that we should grab if still available. Trading down a couple of spots should allow us to select Darius Butler, CB from UConn. And then we would have a shot at OLB/TE Connor Barwin from Cincinnati in the se

I'd be really surprised if the Dolphins drafted a WR at all. Yet, they surprised me last year by drafting two RB's that we didn't need. I see the priority really being to add a couple LB's and a couple cornerbacks. This team needs to continue to get bigger and tougher. Then, looking ahead to who contracts are expiring...we may need another Tight End, offensive tackle, and Nose Tackle. I

He seems like a good fit for Pennington and would compliment Ginn Jr on the outside. He is worth consideration. Jets | Coles released Wed, 25 Feb 2009 13:38:48 -0800 ESPNews reports the New York Jets have released WR Laveranues Coles.

I don't see this regime even having a must have free agent. Last off-season they only really went after two players aggressively. We signed Smiley right of the bat and pursued the pass rusher from AZ who decided to play for the Jets. Although, I believe that we should re-sign Bell, Goodman, & Hill...the real focus coming up will be the draft. And like the Pennington find, some Free ag

We went from not allowing a TD in 3 complete games to yielding 4 TD's in the first half. Certainly the cold field conditions hurt our DB's...they were slipping and falling too much...But, the leadership and hard hitting by Crowder was missed. Hopefully, Crowder gets healthy soon.

It looked like a TD to me. Where the refs would normally give him forward progress for the catch was at the goal line. It really wasn't as defining as everyone is pretending. Pitt still had a 4th down play to make that final 1/10 of an inch in dispute. And that is really what we are disputing...a 1/10th of an inch. The refs got it right on the replay. The real reason the Ravens lost
