I agree, Rod Woodson was better...a MUCH more complete player.

Actually guys 21 Int's in 73 games is pretty darn good...especially when he was not an every down kind of guy.

I'd agree with Marino being the best...along with Unitas. But Manning has a while to play before he retires and he'll own all of the records when he does as well as in all probability a superbowl win or two or three. Hard to make an argument (in the future unless he gets hurt and has to retire injured) against him.

Good for Bell...he's a good player maybe we'll manage get him some more quality help this year.

Yeah maybe so but if the Jets get another really good WR and add to the already good defense they have now...that may not be so accurate. The real difference for the Colts is Manning however...may be the greatest QB to ever play when he retires. Oh yeah, and now that I have said the above...Scr3w the Jets!

I agree that a great running back is not mandatory...it is a very nice luxury however. The combination of Brown, Williams, Cobbs and Hilliard is a good enough group to get us where we need to be running back wise for another year anyway. If Williams leaves after this upcoming season then we will have to look at getting another high quality body in the rotation. Because Brown is injury prone an

I called it too. The post in a thread here...somewhere. I'm gonna call the Superbowl too but I'm doing that right here; Colts beat the Saints...despite the Saints having a better defense.

He has the size, quickness and speed (4.43) to be effective in the NFL especially if someone like Jason Taylor could take him under his wing and show him how to be really effective. I'd like to see him put on some weight because 260 means 245 in Miami. I'd take a look at him but I think right now LB or WR are our main positions of intrest in the 1st round. If he's the BPA when we pick at 12 (

Wake didn't see the field more because of Porter's tenure, past production, his name and his contract...simple. Porter should be put on the short bus out of town and Wake should be the defacto starter opposite of Taylor. If we then draft someone that can play better "every down" than Wake (or Taylor) then that person should be starting. We will need Wake this season as well as

It was originally Joe Robbie Stadium. Now, since he is dead it should forever be; Joe Robbie Memorial Stadium. If they want a sponsorship deal then it should be; Joe Robbie Memorial Stadium...sponsored by Sun Life. Of course with the Sun Life logo plastered on everything in sight.

More than anything I think the switch to a 3/4 defense has hurt him...I think he's much better suited to a 4/3 scheme. Beyond that I think there has been an awful lack of talent surrounding him for the most part.

We are now a quality defensive coordinator, a line backers coach or two, a big time WR, two big time linebackers, a quality NT that can stay healthy and a big time saftey away from being as good as the top twelve percent of the NFL. Thats 3 coaches and 5 players. Despite that we need a little good luck, no injuries to Ronnie, Ricky or Cobbs and Henne to continue positive growth with a reduc

Leon, just because it worked does not make it the right call...depending on how you look at the situation. If it's me I take the three points and let my defense play. If you run and for some reason don't get the first down you have effectively given the other team a very short field of 41 yards or so with a chance for the tie. The only time I go for it on fourth and one in that situation is

3046. Re: Saftey
I'd still be happy if they got rid of his sorry behind. I have not seen anything from him since he got here that makes me think he'll be a good player for us. Adding Ryan Clark to the mix would give us some much needed attitude on defense and he will be available.

3047. Saftey
We need to make sure we grab one of these two players in free agency...I'd rather have Clark due to age but either one would be good. Ryan Clark...solid saftey for the Steelers and not too old at 30. He had a solid year last season with 89 tackles (68 solo) in 15 games, 3 Ints's and 8 passes defended. He's also a solid tackler and a big hitter. Tyrone Carter....another solid player but he

I've been saying this for awhile now...get Ginn some help in the form of a big, fast, sure handed #1 guy. Then get hime a tutor for the off season to work with him on technique, route running, strength, making proper use of his speed and playing with leverage. This would also serve to make the rest of the receivers better and by extension and the entire offense.

I'd keep the guys we have right now...get Ginn some help with the mental aspects of the game, route running, making better use of his speed, and making his hands better in the off season (say Mark Duper) and then draft a big (6'0" or taller), FAST (4.40) or better), tall, FAST, tough, receiver with great hands...did I mention FAST? If Ginn can improve these aspects of his game then we hav

Quick change from Dan Williams for them...maybe some jumping on the bandwagon by them. The pick'll change another hundred times bewteen now and the draft anyway.

I don't think was trying to kick the ball at all. I think he was getting tackled and his leg came up...pure accident nothing more. In any event I would like to see the NFL adopt the college system in overtime where a team has a chance to answer a score.

Yeah, they would be able to put the seats closer to the field.

Whatever they have to do to ensure the viability of the statium and it's resulting revinue is good to me. I also think making the stadium more comfortable for the fans is a great thing...the field will remain open to the elements so the advantage of weather will still be there...somewhat.

Superbowl wins have nothing whatsoever to do with being a great quarterback...Ben is not great, however he is a very good quarterback with the potential to be great eventually. JMO.

I don't know how anyone can say Tampa won't take a quarterback or that Josh Freeman is their franchise quarterback. The fans in Tampa are very upset with Freeman and quite a few want him replaced because they think he's a bust. Then there is also the very real possibility that they will bring in a new coach (they contacted Cowher and have offered a job in the front office to Tony Dungy)...if that

I think Allen is a decent player but I agree he has never lived up to his billing. Maybe he's worth a shot at linebacker if he could put on some weight. His speed there would be a great benefit because once upon a time he ran a 4.39. Even if he put on 25 to 30 pounds making him 237-242 pounds he should still be able to run a 4.5.

Well the thing here guys is this...we do not know why the team drafted Pat White. We can sit here and say it's a wasted pick but without the information as to why he was taken it's not a fair assessment. My opinion is this; White was drafted for his play making ability and to sit and learn the quarterback position as the #3 guy. I don't think he was ever supposed to see the field as a true QB

Good call, IMHO...playing for the undefeated season means nothing if you don't have healthy players (and win) when the games matter. That said the starters shouldn't have to sit they should still play just not entire games until the playoffs. That way they stay sharp...I'd play everyone the first half if it was my call. If the backups lose the game in the second half, oh well. If the Phins

The problem with Ginn IMHO is his size. He gets jammed at the LOS or pushed around by DB's and that throws him off of his routes disrupting any timing he may have with Henne. This size mismatch also gives the DB the advantage on contested balls. Add to that the fact that he has had some bad breaks and some dropped balls in big situations and you have irate fans. If we had a big, fast, rel
