Hobsons choice. A coach has to SHOW SOMETHING to justify keeping him on for 5+ years. Anyone really think if we leave our current staff and front office in place for the next 6 years they'll show in 3 SB's like Bellicheat & Co did? If so, I've got this bridge you'd be interested in...

Coaches shouldn't have to 'teach' basics like filling gaps and containing edges to professional players. It's a problem of motivation and lack of respect.

The defense looked unexpectedly impotent today that's for sure. Whether they are 'the main problem' remains to be seen. We didn't have a complete pass until we were down 21 to nothing. We scored 10 puts totallast week. Last year our offense often produced once they were down 20 pts or when it didn't matter... starting to look like SOS on that side of the ball too.

Lol announcer just said we can't wait for half time to regroup. He dosent knowus very well does he. Half time adjustments? What's that?

Groundhog Day. SECOND GAME and already in full on 'Suck' mode. The D is setting back letting the action come to them maybe Seattle isn't that good after all. The offense is simply a limp noodle from top to bottom. Gonna be another long season gentlemen.

The Defense - Other than letting Seattle march down the field and score a go ahead TD with less than a Min left, The D played well Seriously though they did look STOUT most of the game. Seattle scored a lot of pts last year and of course are projected to be a top offense this year, so I'm encouraged. Williams helps A LOT, with him in there it's hard to know who to double team. hope he's OK.

What I swore to defend (as did everyone who has ever worn a uniform) was the constitution which guarantees the right to feel how ever you want and speak out about it. That said, Ken is right...absolutely NO CLASS OR RESPECT. ESPECIALLY ON 9/11. Just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean you always should.
The sad part is I doubt any of them could clearly enunciate what it

We DON'T take advantage of opportunities, we DON'T get it done when it matters, our Offense sputters, our defense lays down when they have a chance to close out a game...blame or don't blame whoever you want nothing looks to have changed, SOS. Glad I got the Sunday Ticket for only $99 this year.

Brady, Brady, Brady..lol. Look, pointing at Brady every time someone points out the obvious about low round players is like pointing to Jed Clamppet and saying "See, shooting at small game and striking oil IS a GREAT investment strategy" (Beverley Hillbillies reference for you youngsters)
No, having a strong arm doesn't mean you'll be a successful QB in the NFL (Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus

As a replacement for Moore OK, but thats all it could ever be. You can talk about Brady or Brunell or even Roger Staubach as late round 'steals'. The glaring difference is; those guys had cannons. It's sometimes hard to see how a guys 'cerebral'(everyone's favorite word at the moment) abilities will translate to the NFL. It's NOT hard to see how no velocity on the ball will.

I agree with that...at first I just thought it was inexperience but the longer it goes, the more I think (as with another important position that i won't mention) that he just hasn't got the leadership/intangibles. The

Like a lot of our 1st round pick of late, it makes sense on the surface. The Bong picture and the pay to play stuff DO bother me though. Miami hasn't been a good place for kids with those kind tendencies to come for the last decade or so.
SO we now have FOUR 1ST ROUND PICKS as probable O-Line starters (Pouncey, James, Albert, Tunsil) Is it safe to say Tannehill is out of excuses?
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I hope the adaptability part is correct that would be a refreshing change from the last decade. I still just don't like the way the whole thing was announced. 'QB guru', 'will work directly with Tannehill'...I paraphrase another poster on another thread : 'If we have hired a HEAD coach just to work with a QB...that is insane.'

Bring in a head coach to 'work with' a fifth year dud QB?!?!?! Yea this has success written all over it. Guess his sole job is to dry out our $96,000,000 wet firecracker

Tannehill is not a 'bust' in the sense of Jamarcus Russel or Ryan Leaf. But, like Chad Henne, hes just not good ENOUGH. Sure, put him on a stacked team and he may go along for the ride for a season or two like Johnson on the 99 BUCS or Dilfer on the 2000 Ravens, handing the ball off and throwing slant passes on 3rd and 6. But thanks mostly to free agency, teams like those are hard to build and

Everyone keeps making the Bowles comparison, I don't think it's there. Bowles had held paid positions in the NFL for almost 15 years, including coordinator and front office before being named to his first head coaching job this year. Not saying Campbell would be good or bad, but he hasn't paid the dues Bowles has paid. Except for the playing experience, Mike Shula is a LOT closer to Bowels res

Jets out Pats lose AGAIN! Two pretty good weeks in a row. Glad we at least had something to do with this one LOL! The Pats hadn't wrapped up home field right? Their game plan looked pretty uninspired for some reason. Wish we could play like that when it matters.

Bash Dan all you want. He's been part of the South Florida community for over 30 years. He could have went elsewhere like Manning or Farve to run up stats. Instead he chose to retire a Phin. That Ross is listening to him makes me second guess my fear that he (Ross) is actually a closet Jets fan out to destroy the team.
