Everytime I watch the Phins I want them to win. I used to almost expect it. Now, I have resigned myself to a loss pretty much every week. Personally I don't think a high draft pick is going to help this team. We need a complete overhaul of the entire organization. I don't think Ross has the mindset of a winning owner because he has only owned the team for a short time. My impression of him

The last "sure thing" draft pick I remember was one Tony Mandarich.
While I have no problems drafting an Andrew Luck, I would really hope that the coaching staff would evaluate ALL the QBs in the upcoming draft and pick the one that is best suited for the type of offense we plan on running. After all when there are two to choose from, one will end up being the flop.....i.e. Leaf/Man

Maybe the problem is we have an Italian and an "Ireland" working together. History shows they usually don't play well together

I thought Sapp was going to be the odd man out. I like Allen and have no problem with Carroll. I'm just not sold on Sapp.

Whats up with all the hate for George Wilson. He started the franchise and actually drafted Griese and Csonka. Back in the day, some thought he had turned the corner and had the Dolphins improving. It was also thought that he was kind of robbed when Shula took over. I definately wouldn't put him with Saban, Wanny, or Cameron. To me those are the bottom three.

I hear alot about Clay, Gates and Wilson, but I'm wondering how Thomas and Pouncey are doing. Is Thomas going to be able to handle the load as the starter now that Ricky and Ronnie are gone? Just curious.
thanks in advance.....

Simple.....NOPE!!! I probably would stop watching the NFL period if that were to happen. I'm kinda getting tired of the whole "Its all about me league" anyway.

I can completely understand taking Ingram. The problem I see is that we don't have a back worth a darn. We do need a QB, but unfortunately there aren't any worth the pick in rd 1. The only other option is trading down, but unless you have a trading partner, then your screwed there too. If we go with the BPA, then I think Ingram. Of course I'm not a GM, nor will I ever be one. Shoot, I thoug

I think an additional question should be......
if he does get in, is he going to go in as a Dolphin or Jet. Since he would have won the Superbowl with the Jets and they seemed to love him more than us, then I see him going in as a Jet. Not that I really give a rats xxx either way. Just thought I'd bring this up to be chewed on.

I think the difference is that he was hands off and let the gm and coach run the team. He basically just signed the checks. He was very lucky tho that he was able to have a coach that could be trusted and was successful.

I think Shotty might be a very good choice. Kinda Dick Vermiel like, in that he has been out a while, didn't win the big one his last go around, and might pull out all the stops in what would be his last rodeo. Also, Shula is a big Shotty fan (if memory serves).

I saw that guy too. Seems like a typical NFL rube. I really don't think the spitting is that big of a deal. I would really like to know why the hits on both of Henne's slides were allowed. Especially after seeing Manning get his head grazed by that Philly defender and they called that roughing.
The NFL makes absolutely no sense on this issue.

We are a .500 team. Plain and simple, no better or worse. Its frustrating watching them mired in mediocrity, but thats all we have at the moment. From the owner to the coaches to the players....nothing special or spectacular. I started seriously watching Miami in the late '70s and it was fun. Then in the '80s and early '90s we expected Super Bowls and 12 win seasons. Finally over the last 1

Don Shula did, "they're" pissed because he was on the competition commitee for years and the Phins were always leading the league in least penalties. "They" are making up for it now.

at halftime by 10 or more (say 17-7). Do we pull Henne and play Pennington or Thigpen? Or do we stay with Henne and let him bring us back?
If Henne gets pulled, does it mean the coaching staff has lost confidence in him, based on the way the coaching staff has "protected" him the first two games.
I figured I'd ask now, just in case (albiet I hope we're not) losing.

Well, NFL network isn't showing the game (at least where I am) after advertising it. Then the local network is supposed to show it, but the dang Rays game is going long so I have to wait for that to end. Finally with about 8 min. left in the first I get to see some action, and lets see, so far, two drops by Marshall, defense giving up a long touchdown drive, then a nothing drive by our offense
