Yeah, I liked what I saw. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. His run-after-catch didn't seem that great to me, but I don't think he ever claimed to be a seam threat.

I think it shows poor judgement, but it certainly wasn't hate speech or anything of the sort. IMO - not a big deal, but he'll have to formally apologize or something. People are a little touchy with this being the first big athlete to come out before retiring. /shrug, non-issue.

I like the idea of signing both as well. Good depth. Decent competition. We might have to carry 9 OL instead of 8, but we'll probably only have 5 WR on the list - so we can find a roster spot for him.

I do love the smokescreen. No one had a clue what we were doing.
I think KC was trying to be too clever by half. I think they should have just kept Winston at RT, let Albert leave, and then draft Fisher. Then they would have 2 good OTs to build around. Now they have a pretty messed up situation.

I know it's a highlite film, but Michael Clay looks like he has game. The play on the reverse at the 0:46-0:50 mark on the youtube clip was particularly impressive to me.

I'm not really counting on a 7th rounder to replace a pro bowl safety, but stranger things have happened. Like I said, I just found it interesting, guess we'll see what happens.
We still have to find some sort of OT solution. There were a lot of OL drafted in the early rounds, so maybe we get lucky with a player being released, like Truth said.

I noticed that we didn't really draft a DT or a safety. We traded Bess (not a big fan of that, but oh well, that's the NFL), we will probably release a CB (maybe 2), and we might save some money if Carpenter is released.
We have plenty of caproom right now, and we will have even more by the time July 1 rolls around. So we are freeing up money, and don't really have anybody to spend it on. A

For what it is worth, Todd McShay has done a round 2 mock update.
Colt McCoy at 6 (38) to the Browns
Sergio at 8 (40) to the Dolphins
and
Clausen at 9 (41) to the Bills.
If Sergio is there, I think the Dolphins have to take him, but there could be another trade back at 8 if a team really wants Clausen and wants to leap-frog the Bills.
Dream scenario - the Bills trade up 1 pick wi

Another problem will be if Spiller isn't there. But I'm sure they will have contingency plans in place. Should be a fun time.
I guess we could always draft the Last Great White Hope in the 3rd.

I guess the "surprise" pick at 12 might be Spiller. But it would be risky to draft Spiller, then have the Lions back out of the trade. There would have to be an agreement beforehand.

A little depth never hurt anybody. If it's for a decent contract, sounds good to me. ESPN Insider Scouts gives him a 70, which is a decent score.

Percy Harvin might be an interesting choice, he's the only WR that I could see the Dolphins taking at 25. I would love it if he fell to us in the 2nd round. He's an injury risk, but the man has talent.

He may try to head off to a California team and do the Hollywood shuffle while playing. Wouldn't mind seeing him in Miami if he was willing to take a major pay-cut - but I seriously doubt that will happen.

is pursuing Derrick Dockery, formerly of the Buffalo Bills. Hopefully that squeezes them a bit and helps our chances at getting Jason Brown. Still have St. Louis willing and able to throw a lot of money around though.

If we do draft a center that means there's another position we aren't addressing. We have some holes that need filling at CB, S, maybe LB. So it just comes down to need,

Michael Vick would be an interesting player to handle the Wildcat. Can't say I would be overjoyed to have him on my team. But he's paid his debt to society, so I don't see a morale problem with signing him. There would obviously have to be some conditions on his contract.

I think we also need to thank Jerry Jones' ego and his complete lack of judgment. That's what enabled Bill Parcells to leave, and that's what enabled Wade Phillips to be given the job.

Lets hear it for global warming. Just checked out weather.com, 30% of afternoon showers, high in the 50's, low in the high-30's. Weather shouldn't be a factor.
