The scenarios from Drew Brees all the way to Eric Kumerow are only a few of the reasons I don't get involved with the draft.

I'll tell you what I loved about OJ Simpson. KICKING HIS ASS. Every single game the Dolphins played against the buffalo bills throughout the decade of the 1970s, the Dolphins won. 2,003 yards in a season? Hey, impressive. But you still lose when you play against us. I was mercifully out of the country when OJ's acquittal was announced. Was very happy to not talk about it at the time.

This is for the older guys among us, but I just learned that we lost another member of the championship teams of the 1970s, Mike Kolen, #57, Captain Crunch. RIP Mike, you were a solid member of the No-Name Defense and will be missed.

Damn, still so young. I remember him having a couple good years with us, then I think he showed up either drunk or hung over to practice and I'd had it with him at that point. Party during the offseason, guys. But he had some great years with the Colts after we traded him, and I was glad for him. I was glad he got a new start and thought at the time that the change in environment is just wh

Honestly at this point they really should make it flag football. Would cut down on concussions, AND penalties. Most contact is illegal now anyway. Just make it flag football and be done with it.

I will freely admit that I don't know how the Cap works...there's no 'maybe' with me. That being said, TCPF summed up the situation quite clearly when he pointed out that we already have two of the best. Case closed. Only way this makes sense is if we are about to trade away one (or both) of the others.

The direct reward for signing big names isn't in guaranteed wins, but it might result in more ticket sales. For a short while at least..but fans want to see wins. One other side note about ticket sales--we are blessed/cursed with being a tourist destination, especially during cold weather. That is a major reason why our stadium gets filled with fans of the visiting team. And those sales put b

I'd only heard it on the radio so I just double checked. Associated Press confirms the amputation story. So messed up, considering the Bills game got pp'd for snow. You don't even need a deep freeze for snow. Re hypothermia, it's not as clear-cut to the victims who suffer it. Lots of instances of it near me since I've lived up north. Often times the body somehow feels *warm* when hypothermia s

I know that the fan accommodations at the stadium doesn't figure in to the exact subject here, but the mention of KC reminded me of the news story this week that several fans needed amputations of fingers/toes after attending the Miami/KC playoff game. Could you imagine, being a Phins fan, scraping enough money together to RoadTrip to KC for the game. Witness the Dolphins fold up like a cheap sui

The part of that story that mentions the Patsies getting crappy grades is ALL OVER sportstalk radio here in Patsy Land. The sportscasters here are already paranoid about having a bad draft....this just added to their panic (oh my god..no DAYCARE? Everyone ELSE Has daycare..what's wrong with the Krafts <fyi the Kraft family are the owners--I don't expect the rest of the world to know that&g

I'm not surprised about getting rid of Xavien Howard. He was great for us over the years, but his level of play has declined somewhat and would have been a huge cap hit. Ogbah was not TOO surprising but his cap hit/savings was a lot less. I hate the capology stuff but I know it's necessary. I also can't get excited about the draft every year, but it is also necessary. Looking forward to sp

I saw a graphic that compared a lot of statistical categories between the two QBs during their first seven seasons. In damn near every category (yards, percentages, etc), Pat is whipping Tom's behind. The number of championships is the same (three). Mojones has said winning three in a row is a motivator for him. Total number of rings must be as well. I had no idea that Patrick was doing so

Yeah I didn’t even know who was calling the game until they had a live shot and showed their faces. I will say he does a good job calling the game.

Well, that ceremony was a little underwhelming. I mean it was great to see Zonk holding the trophy, but all he did was walk a few steps with it then hand it off to John Elway who took it up to the podium. To be fair, Csonka walks with a cane these days. To be honest, I didn’t know how he was going to manage carrying the trophy at all, much less go up the stairs with it. At least he got to

I am Writing this at halftime of SB LVIII I have stated that I saw pros and cons of either team winning. However, I saw something during the 1st half that is going to make me root for San Francisco. Just after Pacheco’s fumble, they showed Kelce on the sideline screaming in coach Reid’s face. He was upset that he wasn’t in the field during that play (I guess he thought he might have

And it's not because of any music/lip sync artist or other current celebrity. Our very own Larry Csonka will be presenting the Lombardi trophy to the winning team. He was chosen because of the 50th anniversary of our 1973 season championship. The lesser known team due to the prior year's undefeated season, but a much more impressive one in many ways. We lost a couple games during that seaso

I just got invited to a "Haters Gonna Hate Taylor Swift Super Bowl LVIII Party." The invitation says I can "mingle with fellow Swifties" (ummm.what mailing list did I get on?) and also football fans. there will be Taylor-themed cocktails, appetizers, and desserts. Should I go? (Don't worry, I won't)

That is likely the case, although the older DC (Fangio) also had a difficult time getting their attention. I honestly believe coaches should be paid as much as the top players because t

We'd set the date months ago with none of us realizing it was Super Bowl Sunday. Some of the guys are baseball fans and a couple of them are hockey fans (this is the Boston area). Just this week the guy organizing our get-together said to me 'hey thi

Chris Shula reportedly was being interviewed for our DC opening, but the Rams put a stop to that by promoting him to their own DC position. That takes care of that, I guess. Chris is the grandson of Don Shula and honestly I didn't even know he was coaching in the NFL. And because I didn't know he was coaching, I have no opinion on how he'd have done here. But I do know the pressure would have
