Well, it took a while but we finally fired Crossman and (unfortunately) also Wes Welker. I was especially rooting for Welker but

Local (to Boston) jock-sniffing sports radio hosts have a collective stiffie over the thought of Belicheat reuniting with Tom Brady to coach the Raiders.
This comes about because the Raiders canned their coach.
Yes, Belicheat recently signed a contract to coach the UNC Tarheels. But according to what I heard on the radio yesterday, The buyout clause is 'only' one million dollars if they wai

Draft an early round (but not first round) QB, he beats out Tua in training camp or early on in the season for the starting job (unless Tua hurts himself again beforehand). Tua rides out the season riding the pine...and he's gone after next season.
Sounds simple doesn't it

The only thing I'd add to the original post on this thread: in addition to the Hurricanes paying the bills, it's really the Opposing Fans that pay the bills (this applies to the canes too, actually). If the visiting team's fans didn't show up to JRS, you could go bowling down the aisles.

Agreed, and I've gotta say I'm surprised he's still in the league at all. I didn't think his hip would survive one year. Unfortunately his noggin has become an even s

That’s what usually works for me. Usually.

It could be due to a quirk in the message board software that doesn’t allow internet addresses/links to be posted. If you take out the http, dots coms and stuff it might work??

I have the misfortune of working with a bunch of Bills fans. They are whining after their loss this week

Game was not shown in my area/on my cable package. I probably would have puked watching it but I agree a win is a win, and a Jets loss is also a win.

Post Edited once I looked up the figures:
While looking this up I noticed that the Canes' attendance is up 10% over last year. Good for them. But the figure I read said 55K average this year, 50K last year. Pretty good, considering their fans are NOT

When Skylar got put in, I said out loud “just hand the ball off”. Well, that was a bad call on my part. He couldn’t even do THAT right.

I grew up watching the Dolphins in the 70s. Sustained drives were the Dolphins' middle name back then.
I agree 100% that this is the way to play football, but we can't play from behind this way--got to take the lead and just grind it out.
This is another argument, by the way, to have a bruiser fullback to run the ball reliably in short yardage situations. To be able to do that and combine

For me, the "what-if" scenarios are something I can't shake from my mind. What if Wilkins stayed with the Phins, gotten a huge paycheck, then unfortunately broken his foot as a Phin? That's a big fate-scenario but I couldn't help but think of it. And I was a huge fan of his.

and there are others who say the same, but substituting the word 'sucker' for 'true fan'.
Some people also say you aren't a true fan unless you go to x number of games per person per year.

Season was over when Tua first got hurt. Once again the game was not televised in my area so that they could show the Patsies squeak by the Jets. Needless to say I didn’t watch TV today.
I’m curious though about how everyone feels about what potential (for momentum into next year ) was displayed today. We put some points on the board—-that’s nice. Anything else good or encouraging??

The second part of the above statement may have been accurate about 5+ years ago.
But he can't coach as well anymore. His record in his past few seaso

They didn’t show the game where I live, which was a blessing
As I followed stats and stuff during the game I was very pleased to see that we racked up over 100yds rushing in the first half (did I even read that correctly? ). And we were holding the lead. But that didn’t last.
Who wants to play QB? Go to the nearest high school and sign someone.

OH, Tebow did plenty of FB type plays while a QB at UF.
1st and goal at the 3 Yd Line? No problem, He'd just lower his shoulder and smash through the defensive line into the EZ.
I remember the thinking at the time was that he should have become a TE or WR (would have been cool, given our history with hybrid type players such as Jim Jensen and Marlin Briscoe ) but I guess it wasn't in the

Yes I was around, 4545. I just loved watching csonka take the ball and be an absolute lock to gain a few yards.
I had a Topps card of him (imagine a traditional baseball card but with football players) and in his picture he was posing holding a football. But his forearms were so huge you couldn’t even see the ball in the photo—just his forearms.
The closest we had to csonka after he

and Belicheat probably has a quiver in his liver regarding the job opening.
Rumor has it that he wants to coach the Giants. Will he settle for the Jets?
I hope not. Stay in the booth Bill, and play grabass with Tom Brady.
