That's interesting, in that lack of accuracy is one of the criticisms of Orton. Last year, he completed less than 50% of passes thrown 11 yards or more.
PF2 is right. The Palmer situation is really more about Mike Brown than anything else. Justifiably, Brown is po'd at Palmer for trying to bully his way out of town after signing a 6-year, $120M contract. The Bengals have paid Palmer a boatload of money over the years, and I don't blame Brown one bit for resenting how Palmer has handled this. If Palmer sits out this year or retires, he doesn't make a penny. By trading or releasing Palmer, the Bengals reward Palmer. And they aren't going to do that.
