WE have no identity.

Every good team in the league has atleast one identity or identifiable aspect about their team.

Colts=Peyton Manning, Steelers=Big Ben & tough defense, Packers=Aaron Rodgers, Pats=Brady & Billicheck, Ravens=Ray Lewis & defense, Jets= Defense.

What is ours?? We have no identity, and until we have one....we are just gonna be 8-8 every year...or round about that. Yeah, we may have a fluke 11-5 year every 5 or 6 years, exactly like what happened in 2002 and 2009.

But, we either need a franchise QB to be the face of our franchise or a #1 defense.

Because we all know, Sparano is not a top 5 coach, he will never be the face of a franchise.

We need either a franchise QB...i.e. Andrew Luck, Matt Barkley, or go all out and dominate on defense like the Steelers and Ravens do.
But unti, we get a dominant defense

Completely agree. Think about what the future of our team would be like if we would have drafted Matt Ryan...Talented young QB who is a leader. Pair him with Brandon Marshall...Young and upcoming defense...

you could say that about every team without a franchise QB or a top 3 defense. I don't think our D is that far off anyway. BAL's defense is living off it's glory days, they aren't that good anymore. Jets D is all hype and clownishness from Rex Ryan and being in the media capital of the world; Pitt's D is consistently good, I'll give em that.

I beg and otherwise raise my right hand with 5 fingers extended to disagree.

First and foremost, we have the Sloth. And that right there my friend is a BIG TIME identity. Sort of like blocked arteries with coco puffs. But seriously, we all know our geniuses passed on every college passer in the draft because the aforementioned “Sloth” has subsequently transmuted into an unknown mammal. Indeed, this wily rascal is capable of launching footballs from hideously absurd angles and overwhelming opposing Defenses with a skunk-like musk oil emitted from his webbed fingers.

It’ll be like: “dang that SOB throws one stinky ass football!”

Now get this, our geniuses have already figured out a scent blocking strategy to be employed by our compost-certified OL. And that means – “watch out bro I’m flying downhill on the sled!” Obviously we will dominate in the snow and I suspect our geniuses will import the frozen white stuff from Yugoslavia for all our home games. We will also be selling Coors Light in the stands and feature cheerleaders in various Iditarod positions.

I suspect the NFL will have to address our collective supremacy in 2012 (post apocalypse).

BNF. And even more.

Berk,

Baltimore still has the best Safety in the league, and one of the top 5 pass rushers in Suggs...

oh yeah, and Ray Lewis.

Im pretty sure thats not "livin of it's glory days".

Ray Lewis is like 48 years old. And that safety is like 45. Their D is 100% on the DDDDD-cline.

Get over it. And touch-up that gray, OK?

Mr. Outlandish?

I'll have you know “Mr. Outstandingberg” is more like it.

cool smiley

There is one puzzle piece in Baltimore I'd like to swipe and put on our roster -- and that's Flacco. He could be the solid back-up to Henne we’re looking for.

Yo Berk, let me tell ya somethin, ya better be ready to have a scent of humor with this dysfunctional franchise. So forgive me having fun and “goofing off.” But after watching these idiots play monkey-in-the-middle and high-flying chimps-on-the-wire I ain’t takin their crap product serious no more.

No QB. No chance. End of game.

OK. So this is like really serious stuff and such?

I’m cool with that. You’re right. The world is just too happy right now.

I agree. Let’s stick to the “facts” and pretend this is serious mofo biz. Got it.

BNF. And whatever.

Have fun.

One the season starts. I’ll be a terrorist. I promise.

Go-go-gooooo-goooo-goooo Henne!

this is the time of the year we are trying to do something about that stuff. You say Henne sucks, well they are trying to replace him. That should give you some hope for the future.

Mr. Berk (keep it serious) Wrote: this is the time of the year we are trying to do something about that stuff. You say Henne sucks, well they are trying to replace him. That should give you some hope for the future.

First of all, the time to do “something” was back in April. And once again we passed on EVERY QB. That fact all by itself sealed the deal for me. I wanted QBs plural and these idiots did nothing. So let’s get the record straight, this regime has drafted 1 QB in FOUR drafts. ONE.

As far as hope for the future, IMO that’s “goofy” as long as we’re dealing with this regime – and I include the owner in that equation so the bad dream is probably going to continue for a number of years. Faced with that “reality” I’d rather have fun at this franchises expense than invest “hope” in a terminal dysfunctionality.

Call me goof but I ain’t dumb like that.

BNF. In oil.

Another example of those great Miami fans, always doing their part to help, always putting that extra dose of negative energy into the zeitgeist.

One can only marvel at the image your caricature evokes. Especially in considering what just happened in Norway.

How in the hell do you think you get an identity?
Winning brings an identity.
Our identity used to be as a laughing stock, going 1-15.
Then it became an identity of a innovative, exciting team featuring Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams and the 'wild cat' offense. Fromm 1-15 to 11-5, a team on the rise that quickly regained some respect.
Now we're moving into an era of Kyle Orton, Brandon Marshall, Reggie Bush, monster o-line, and a Nolan led defense.
I really think this team now is in better shape than it was during Marino's last 5 years.

Unless identity is another term for franchise quarterback, it doesn't win you ballgames.

Then its definately an argument between Palamalu and Ed Reed.

But you get my drift, Grooves.
