The only team pro sports I watch are the NBA and NFL. So...while I'm proud of the Heat's season, thinking about that right now is too painful. I'm happy Dirk got his ring, but I just can't think about it right now.
SO....NFL? What the @#$%& is up with THAT???
Time for me to take up a hobby that doesn't involve watching sports on TV.
it's been a brutal last week or so as a heat fan. I am kind of relieved it's over since this has been too stressful and upsetting. it would be great to finally have the NFL back to focus on, and I think the lockout ends soon, by July 4 at the latest. Difference is, realistically the dolphins have no chance of winning it all, so it makes following the team less stressful (unlike during the marino years). Being a fan is more about analysis, what can the phins to do improve their team, what are they doing wrong, rather than just sitting back and watching a "complete" team go for it all. Once the season starts, I think we will see at most signings like Darren Sproles and Mark Bulger, nothing more remarkable than that. It's going to be a lot of the same stuff as last year---team will go as far as Henne can take it---if he improves a lot, so will we, if he doesn't, we will be 7-9 or worse. it's really that simples....
I know, you and everyone else who is not a heat fan can never forgive MIA for doing what every other team was trying to do---get wade, james, and bosh on the same team. I agree that the "Decision" was cheezy, and the post signing celebration may have been over the top, but the amount of hate that has been heaped at these guys just seems way disproportional to what ever "sins" the team committed in coming together.
I agree berk. I find it difficult to figure the basis of criticism of a team for getting as many great players as they can.
I would figure old-timers like me who came from the age wherein Mickey Mantle was always a Yankee and Sandy Koufax was always a Dodger would be the ones that would be upset with a super-star moving from one team to another.
However, it seems that youngsters somehow feel that LeBron was "stolen" from the Cavs and therefore it rubs them the wrong way.
Hey, the guy didn't break a contract.
As for the game, I just question their game plan of forcing the Mavs into proving that they could beat the Heat playing 2 points for 2 points.
Instead, the Heat played them 2 points for 3 points and well, you can see where that got the Heat.

Hahahahaha this plus 1000000000000000000
I hope the Queen never gets a title!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever. The hate for the Heat will be mostly gone next season. It will be old news. The media won't report on it. There will still be fans that will keep hating, but no more than those who hate the Lakers or the Pats.
I'll be interested to see who the Heat sign in the offseason. The big 3 are staying put, but I could see Steve Nash signing for the league minimum to try to win a championship. The Heat could definitely use some veteran leadership at PG. Bibby just wasn't good enough. I think Bibby, Big-Z, Dampier, House, James Jones, Jowan Howard, Magliore will become expendable and any or all of them could be gone.
Its ok i had a feeling they werent going to win it the first year. They got far though....With the team they had,,,,,the big 3 and a bunch of scrubs as supporting cast.
We will sign a couple of key free agents this coming season and eventually you all will get tired of the heat winning the NBA finals.
I dont really care about the NBA too much, but I must admit it I had perfect timing that brought a smile to my face last night, I managed to change the channel to ABC at just the right time to see Bosh crying in the tunnel
The premature celebrations by LeBron & Co. in front of the Dallas Bench to motivate the Mavs into coming back to win that game, plus their making fun on-camera of Dirk being sick just makes the Heat's loss amusing in general.
The Heat do have a great opportunity to win multiple titles. And this was only the first year of the SuperGroup, so I predict they will win a few rings. I believe they've learned their lesson.
And guys..............let the record show i dont agree with the way theyve acted since the beggining when the arrived here....That so called concert was out of line....The cough thing about noviski was childish and immature............

Agreed. They better have learned their lesson. Time to grow up.
BTW..........The marlins stink..........So what sport am i going to watch if there is no football. Its going to be boring as hell if there is no football.
There is nothing like football...
I was kind of calm all the way through out the basketball playoffs.
If the phins ever reach the superbowl i will walking around and reacting on every single play...All throughout the game every minute every second..........
Sometimes some of my friends come over and we are watching the phins game yes even in the regular season.....And im the only one walking around all across the living room and drinking at the same time...nervous as hell.
cant barely sit down...and watch the phins in peace like my friends...
We scream and bytch against the refs and the bad calls and tanked plays by the phins all throughout the game.
ALL THIS WHILE I GIVE MY WIFE THE GREEN LIGHT TO USE THE CREDIT CARD AND GO SHOPPING AT ABOUT 1 PM TILL like 5 PM....
SOmetimes i barbeque some ribs or whatever....
There is nothing like sundays watching the phins with my own breathen...
THe marlins and the times theyve been to the world series do not compare...the heat and the 2 times theyve been to the finals do not compare...
There is nothing like watching a 1 or 4 PM.... phins football game.
Sundy nights and monday night do not give me that sunday afternoon felling..
I guess im used to almost evey game been at 1 or 4 PM.

if I were judge nelson I wouldn't be in a position to declare anything over/not over, since she's gonna be reversed. I've just felt all along there is just no way both parties can be so stupid to let this get to the point that any games will be missed. I'm sticking by that---the news about the meetings, combined with the fact that the 8th Cir is going to rule soon, makes me think this is gonna get wrapped up by around the 4th of july.
Well, the rest of the NBA and the fans of their respective teams should enjoy the last NBA Championship that is won outside of Miami, because the Heat will win the next 4-6 in a row.
