This may be a question for some of our law specialists here, but in the event that the lockout is still in place what does this mean for the new madden game? I know that its actual release shouldnt be effected, but what about the players names? Without the union in place would they still be able to have the real names placed on all the jerseys?
Kind of like in the NCAAA games where there all named QB#7 or DT#99 etc. etc.
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry
Probably a better question for a civil law lawyer but doesn't the NFL license this product? And if it licenses the product, and assuming the players are put in the jerseys that they played in in the 2009-2010 season, I don't know whether the players could object.
Moreover, since they (the players) probably get a taste of the pie, I don't know whether they would WANT to object.

I'm a long time Maddenner, pretty much started since it all began, I've seen some huge improvements over the years, but the last 5 years I feel as if the franchise has become stagnant, even deteriorating on several fronts.
I'm really tempted to skip this years version. I guess I'm staging my own "lock out".
