Tom Brady can pull a warren moon and play until over his 40s..Its possible

Ryan Mallet will forget he ever though of that.

EDIT: But you know what i rather Ryan Mallet play sooner. He has ryan leaf written all over his face.

Mallett will only see the field in blowouts or if Brady gets hurt. How much payback will he actually be able to dish out? What a buffoon. Doesn't he know why he dropped in the draft? Rampant drug rumors; numerous missed meetings; and the little fact that he is the slowest QB since my grandmother was QB in the ladies senior league at Del Boca Vista.

comments to the article are great

I am gonna sit the bench against you guys sooooo much over the next 5 seasons!!!!….

He must have been high when he said it…

He is going to hold that clip-board like no backup QB has EVER held it! That will show those fish in MIA what they missed out on!

Keep in mind.......This is second hand Info from his father.

Mallet has not made ANY public comments. That said, Whether it comes This season or 5-7 seasons down the road, I think Miami is going to pay for this mistake dearly. When RB Thomas is on the chopping block and we have a brand new regime trying to patch together Irelands and Saprano's mistake in the future, The Pats will once again have a QB with a killer deep pass.

Ireland likes to play mind games with these players and then picks people off the radar on purpose. Fing AHole.

I don't think that's being an AHole. That's being smart. You want him to telegraph before the draft who we want and who we don't want so that some team grabs the guy we want?

I am not sure we need to worry about Mallett 5-7 years down the road. The guy is 22 years old and he's already as slow as Kerry Collins. What will he be like 6 years from now? I realize his job is to throw not run; but he has been called one of the most immobile QBs ever by more than one writer. What will he be like at 30? You can only be so good in the NFL if you are a statue in the pocket.

Well, we did the same thing to Braylon Edwards (telling him we'd be drafting him then passing on him). This is a pretty common tactic.

I saw him play a couple of times and i agree. He looked really slow.

I doubt he can catch up to NFL speed. I would like to see what he does in pre season.

Dan Mcgwire and Jim Drukenmiller were both huge, very strong arms, and immobile. I think it's very likely Mallet goes the way of those 2. That's why I'm not all bent out of shape that we didn't take him in the 2d round.

While Mallett is a Patriot, it's nice to see he can get some support on a Dolphins message board.

BFD. Really. With all players the proof is on the field and Mallett won't be doing crap for a while still.

Getting passed over is a fact for like 99.6% of all drafted players. So big momma, call the cows home.

No one was more ImMobile then Marino was. When you CAN"T run for shit that FORCES you to develop a great accurate passing game. Quick release, read defenses, throw it accurately. Thats what I want out of a QB. Non of this caretaker nonsense. Thats Loser talk. Thats safe talk. That sounds like something that came from a coach who celebrates a feild goal after failing to score 5 times from the red zone.

Glad you all think this and this draft is so funny. I guess only us REAL dolfans are upset about it.

Marino had an unbelievable pocket presence, the ability to move quickly in the pocket and the quickest trigger ever. There's no comparison.

Kerry Collins is a much better comparison.

I think rather than deveop all those traits , its more a god given talent. You are born with it.

There is only one marino....He was a freak of nature.

To say that you are going to AVENGE yourself on the team that didn't pick you is a VERY BAD THING in my mind.

On the other hand, saying that you are going to do your best to convince the NFL they were wrong is a very good thing.

Particularly, in Mallet's case, because his drop was not because people didn't think he had the skills but was because of his perceived character issues.

Therefore, if he means, as well, that he's going to show them he is no doper and he is going to show them that he is no A-hole, then that's a very good thing.........at least for the Patriots.

Again he did not make ANY public Statements. It could very easily be his fathers pride talking. You didn't take my son so HE will make you pay!

The one achilles in Mallett's game to my eye (and admittedly, I’m the best talent evaluator on the board, but that just means I don’t know crap…):

The kid has POOR pocket awareness (yes, maybe even worse than the Sloth!) and Mallett is not shifty nifty nor elusive in the pocket. In the NFL we all know (at least those with free-range neurons know) that means DEATH via the blitz right up the keester feester (or thereabouts).

K?
