Daniel Thomas, RB, Dolphins. Believe it or not, Thomas may actually have lucked into being the top fantasy rookie of the season. He may have gone 34 picks after Mark Ingram, and he may have been the fifth rusher selected, but Miami has a gaping hole at running back, and Thomas is a great candidate to fill it. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are free agents; one of them (Williams?) might return in a supplemental role, but I can absolutely see Thomas getting the keys, as Ryan Mathews was supposed to before he got hurt last year. Thomas is a 230-pounder with excellent feet and can catch the ball. Kansas State lined him up all over the field and used him to create mismatches, as the Bears do with Matt Forte. One concern is that Thomas battled a bad hamstring throughout the draft process and didn't run at the combine then failed to make a second 40-yard dash at his pro day because of an injured quad. All we need is a repeat of Mathews' injured rookie season, right? But boy, the opportunity is there. Thomas compared himself to Larry Johnson at the combine, and while that's ambitious, it ain't a bad on-field role model.
ronnie brown without injury risks? Im salivating at the prospect of it all..
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

He didn't miss a game at Kansas State. Not running 40s because of a pulled muscle during the offseason is not being injury prone.
the guy runs very upright, with a straight back. that makes him a huge target and with the pounding he will take at this level, I don't know if we can say he's not an injury risk.
this was the pick I have the most question about, only because he really does not seem like the game breaker at the position which everyone agreed we needed. I don't care so much about giving up the 5th and 7th to get him (that's ALL we gave up, stop with this "3 picks" crap, how ignorant), but who we took. hopefully he will prove me wrong but don't see one game breaking run in any of the clips I've seen of him (even the biggest scrub has 1 or 2 on their clip)

Did Ronnie Brown have injury risks when he was drafted? I don't recall that.
