Poll
which vet QB do you want us to end up with?
Only registered users are allowed to vote for this poll.
14 votes were received.
V Young 2

14%
Bulger 1

7%
Kolb 1

7%
Palmer 6

43%
None of the above, tank the season with Henne 4

29%

it is clear to me that the QB we are adding is going to be a Vet. With Dalton going to CIN I think they let Palmer walk. Vince Young is also going to be let go with Locker coming in. Bulger is a free agent and Philly will probably fleece some stupid team like us in a trade for Kolb.
Which if these guys do you want us to get? or are they all worthless stop gaps and we should just live or die with Henne?
I voted for Palmer if we can get him for a 3d rounder next year.

Palmer is re-signed because Cincinnati will need a veteran to show him the ropes for a year. Bulger isn't worth signing, Kolb's price tag is too high...and finally, Young is too much of a head case.

We should just pick up Stanzi (He's the best of what's left) at this point to provide competition for Henne and wait until next years draft to sign another potential starter.

It isn't what I (or many of you) wanted but it's the best we can do now.

Palmer could be a HUGE win for us...

Can we get him?

Do we know his barber?

Is his wife hot?

We need more intensive research...

Ken, Palmer has gone on record saying he doesn't want to play for Cin and would rather retire than be there. What makes you think this is someone they want to "mentor" Dalton, even assuming they could convince/force him to stay? I am convinced Palmer is gone, esp after taking Dalton

Because the team has already said that he isn't going anywhere...I think they will find a way to keep him for another season.

Palmer is likely headed to Seattle, Hasselbeck to AZ

Bulger or Volek or give Thigpen the opportunity we have given henne
or move one of them.

Wrong.

Arizona will be starting Kevin Kolb next season.

Cincy is not going to sit on Palmer "for spite."

In the end this is a business and the only rational business move is either to deal him or let him go.

Their posturing now (the Bengal's that is) is simply to drive UP the price.

I say we give it to our New Running Back who co$t us 3 picks to get. Lets just Wildcat it every play. We can pay Brandon Marshall 40 Million to block.
