Good. At least we know NOT to take him. I prefer guys show their true colors now BEFORE the draft. It makes it easier!

Cool the guy let it be known he does not want to play for the phins. No problem these guys have very little control of where they will play and skipping out on a team is one way to control where you play I have no problem with them doing it.

Adam Schefter on twitter, said Fairley and his agent claims they have not been late for or missed any meetings with any NFL teams

WHo's the paesano grasso from New Jersey? Sparano is from Connecticut and is quite (relatively) svelte these days.

Take a guy that has a bad attitude and doesn't want to play for us? I'd rather gamble on a guy who may have a drug problem (Mallett) than a guy who's got an obvious attitude problem.

PhinsFan2, wow! I disagree with you on occasion but I have never been so far apart.

Monte is right.

When you pick a guy who says he doesn't want to play for you, automatically he has established that he is "alpha dog" over you.

Matters can only go downhill from there.

He soon begins dictating what plays should be run or otherwise he will not put out his best effort.

He feels that he can break training because, after all, you wanted him and he specifically said he didn't want you.

Moreover, even ignoring the dynamics that would exist between him and the Dolphins, the whole NFL should be asking, "Who is this little fart to think that he is that he thinks he is in a position to dictate to whom and where he goes?"

I don't think that I have seen that happen since John Elway came out.

I hardly think Nick Fairly will turn into a player of the same magnitude as John Elway.

It's like in a relationship with a woman. My nephew is recently married and having problems with his new wife. I told him, "you've got to make clear what you will accept and what you won't accept because if you accept something, then you've established a pattern that it will always be acceptable. It's bullshit to think that you can let someone get away with something TWICE (once maybe and then you put your foot down) and not expect that the message they get won't be, 'Okay, cool. I can do this. He'll be a little mad but I can do this.'"

Nick Fairley is sending a message, not only to the Dolphins but to the rest of the NFL that he is a 24-carat jerk and the team who drafts him above the 5th round is going to pay for it.....And I'm not talking about player compensation.

Okay, it might be overblown. If it was, I take it back. I'm just saying that if he is trying to pick and choose at this stage, then its a bad sign.

Of course, every player would like to go as high as he can and if he's saying he'd rather go to the Panthers at no. 1 than the Dolphins at 15, who could blame him.

However, if he just missed the dinner because he had no place to stay, etc., then maybe it is overblown.
