Maybe his team sucked, maybe he was tired of school?

I get tired of school, especially since going for 5 years straight.

Sure I got my class A CDL's, and Certificate of completion for automechanics, and my associates in board of govener's, now a junior at Shepherd University.

What I am getting at, is that so like myself hate the boring school, and is mind dulling to attend, maybe Locker is the same way, and it showed last year?

Who knows I voted no to all of these, because I want us to trade down, and believe that one if not a couple of these players will be around in the higher end of the first round.

I dont remember that far do but if this is true then this is the reason he fell so low in the first round. That and drug concerns as well?

So, how similar is the story between Locker and Marino?

Lucky us......Marino on top of been such a talent, came into a team chocked full of great offensive players....great receivers clayton duper ect great OL...

If mean you dont need a running game if you have clayton duper and a great OL....

He just didnt win the big one because the phins had no defense. you know what they say defense wins championships.

just for fun, here is locker vs marino stats last 2 yrs of college. With numbers like his Sr year and drug rumors, I can see how he'd have dropped in today's NFL draft. I am still not impressed with Locker, from his play and everything I've heard, he sounds like a mess

Locker
2009 230-395 2800 yds 58.2 compl % 21 TD 11 INT 129.75

2010 184-332 2265 yds 55.4 compl % 17 TD 9 INT 124.2

Marino

1981 226-380 59.5 % 2876 yds 37 TD 23 INT 90.4

1982 221-378 58.4% 2432 Yds 17 TD 23 INT 67.3

Yes. He reminds me a little of Steve Young. Perhaps a slight change in footwork will translate to a higher completion percentage. He is an outstanding athlete with tons of potential. A couple years of grooming and he could be a star.

Not a fan of running QBS. Running backs are better for this in the nfl.

Amen not a fan of running qb's too. When your accustomed to running the ball you obviously have a differant mind set when playing the game.

Since the don't run unless its dire need mentallity is what the great qb's use, then how do you expect a run first, or my first, second read isnt open lets run it baby to win?

Stupid concept that is over used in college.

You will never see Vick win the SB, and he is prob the best at throwing, and running it that you will get in the NFL.

Which mean's how do you expect a slower runner, that may or may not throw as good as Vick to win a SB?

He's my number 3, after Gabbert No. 1, and Mallet, no. 2. At 15? If Mark Ingram is not there.

Gabbert and Quinn are my two top players in this draft.

He's a R2 guy for sure.

That means we won't get 'em anyway...

I'm getting turned off by most of the first rnd qb's, cept Newton and he has a lot to prove yet.

Locker - tired of sports writers rolling the red carpet for this guy and making miles & miles of excuses. Locker has shown little development from his Fr to Sr year.

Gabbert - the more film I catch of him the less I like him. Newton looks a helluva lot better than him running a similiar offense. Had questions regarding his conditioning a mizzou, I pass.

Mallert - I like him but is he the second coming of Ryan Leaf? Some circles say he has as many charcaters issues as Newt

Newton - I like the guy his issues of been printed enough

all sayed and done I would pass on QB and draft Ingram in the 1st rnd then go after the kid from Delaware later. If we drafted I would not mind seeing 1 of the 2 character discounts, Mallet or Newton.
