ChyrenB,
"Leon, sadly, you are in that category. Actually Jefferson, Washington, Adams, and those guys were the elite judged by American standards. So its what's in your mind and not in your pocket. Sadly, Leon, had you existed in colonial America, you would have been a Tory."
You are so freaking out of touch with reality that I can't believe it. You take a PM discussion and come to an of the wall statement like this.
You know that I spent 19 years in the union and was a shop Stewart for 18 of those years. You know that I walked picket and was involved in grievances and contract negotiations directly for many years.
Yet you make a stupid statement like this.
I have nothing against unions or management. Free market negotiations is what our country is all about. I have not taken sides in this discussion. I do not have any sympathy for the players or owners. It's business and that is all it is.
Because you know that I also have no sympathy for you and your Public Union, you make assumptions that are incorrect.
Calm down, Leon. I am talking about your slant, your inclinations, your leanings and your natural proclivities. Maybe you were even a labor leader once upon a time, but your focus has changed. Yes, I was basing it on your conversations about public unions, etc. What else did you expect me to think? You are talking to a public union member about how we are ripping off the public and you expect me to not think that you have that kind of bias.
There is nothing particularly "stupid" or even vicious about saying that certain people see things in a certain way that ends up in an automatic response concerning certain subjects.
BTW, we in the public unions never take lunch we are put in chains at 8:30 a.m. and the chains are not unlocked until 5:30 p.m. No lunch.
or would you prefer to believe that we are at work from only 8:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and then "Gone for the Day."
That is...after we stop by the big pot full of dollars (taxpayers) that is in a huge pot in the middle of the office and grab a handful and say "Expenses been running kinda high lately."
Can anyone remember the movie? I can't remember which one.
He's not pro-business yet he thinks that public employees should work 24 hours a day for him. He resents public employees which includes policemen, firemen, teachers and inspectors.
Yet, everyone else can have a life outside of public employees who he hates. And he's offended that someone would call him a Tory.
Unions. God great in the 70's, poopies in the new 2000's.
You only become a lawyer for the money. Sure there might be a few other perk's that lawyers grow to like, but lets be honest its like a traffic cop. Easy money, and you can screw up peoples lives on a daily basis.
Ok so it looks like this new deal wont get struck.
Mostly because the players want at least .50 cent's on the dollar.
The players also want two added playoff games instead of regular season which I support.
So basically the greed of the players will f.ck over the fans.
This is another reason why I hate unions.
Already make great money, decent benefits, but its ever enough, no no making at least 250k a year, up to ALOT more pending YOUR WORTH, isnt enough.
Bunch of pri-madona's I hope this falls apart.
These greedy players need a dose of reallity, that in this time of recession, these rich players, could make 20k a year, and live off that, or 30 grand a year to play a f.cking game.

Actually, I predict Luck will have a bad senior year and drop. He won't be the #1 pick in next year's draft. How many projected #1's go back to college and get picked #1 the following year??
