Poll
If there is a significant work stoppage and at least 8 games (arbitrary, but I think significant number) are either missed or played by scabs, what will be your response in terms of returning to Dolphins fanaticism?

I probably won't be a fan 0

I'll still be a fan, but much less fanatic...I doubt they'll ever get me back to my 2010 level of fanaticism 0

They'll have to do something meaningful to get me back, but I'll probably eventually return to my 2010 fanaticism (or more eventually) 2

I'm addicted...as soon as the real players are playing real games, I'll be just as rabid a fan as I ever was 9

I think I'm in the 'less fanatic for life' category, but may be in the 'do something meaningful to win me back' category. At 8 games, I may lean more toward being won back. At a full season, I'm probably leaning more towards lukewarm for life.

I'm looking forward to potentially being surprised by the results.

Frankly, I think it's something I think teams & the NFL should be asking fans so they'll have a sense for the impact, as well (maybe they are but just haven't asked me :-)

Hey, didn't we actually go to the Superbowl the last time the NFL had a strike-shortened season? I found the scab games to be very entertaining as well. I'm a Phin fan and will ALWAYS be a Phin fan. The only thing that could possible affect that is if they team moves out of Miami.

BTW - I hope I am an outlier here. I don't wish anything bad upon the NFL or the Phins. So, my asking is a result of some introspection and a desire to know where I stand in terms of the rest of the fan base. I'm definitely not trying to sway anyone's opinion toward the negative.

Once a Dolphin fan, always a Dolphin fan. And yes the last time that happened we went to the SB.
I won't base my fan support on some work stoppage.

It didn't affect me back in 1982, so it won't affect me in 2011...cool smiley

no the last strike was 1987 and we went 8-7 including the scab games, no playoffs. we did make the SB the strike prior to that one, in 1982.

I'll still be a fan...and always will. Games, no games, scabs, strikes, poor teams...dosen't mean a thing.

I know I'm crazy, I did eat paint chips as a kid, but I think it'd be fun to watch some scabs play again. But then again for that to happen the football equivalent of the apocalypse would have to happen so I'm not rooting for it.

If there are no games, I see lawsuits on the horizon.

I want to vote, but I dont care if a lockout happens. I don't go to any games so it isnt like Im not reupping my season tickets.

Lol chumps buy season tickets. Chumps.

I gladly watch the game in high deffinition, from a air controled, good fairly priced food, on like a 70 inch screen.

I also get decent comentary.

Now don't get me wrong, if it didnt cost me a weeks pay to go to a game, I would go to a couple every year, but I am sensing that the day's of stadiums full of real fans is on its way out.

Just to expensive.

The ironic and funny part is, while the owners, and players bitch about this and that, they are ignoring the real issue, which is the cost of going to games.

I havnt done the research, but I can bet that over the years, the overall attendance levels for most teams has been on a steady decline.

I can also see the day's of the Jerry worlds stadiums over too, in favor of smaller stadiums.

So I will still remain a fan, I dont care what happens at the table, because I as a fan can go spend 8 too 15 bucks a week, 1000 feet away at a sports bar, which I can walk to, to enjoy my game.
