any stats used to justify that henne was anything other than horrible last year (esp 2d half of the season) are utter BS. It's like Sporano saying he had only 4 "minus" plays in the Lions game----YEAH BUT THOSE PLAYS LOST THE GAME!!
Yeah if Bess, and Marshall, and even Hartline wernt good wr's he would have been REALLY bad.
I watched every game, every snap that he took, I don't need to take the word of a internet site, about stats on my QB. Watching him throw it to the defensive lineman EVERY game twice!!! at least, and then underthrowing wr's, and overthrowing wr's, and throwing it to the hands of defenders.
Henne is too incositant, I think because he came from the shotgun in college, that when we have him under center, he is having issues keeping his back straight, and shifting weight to keep the ball tight, accurate, and well?
He also has issues making all his reads, and when he locks on, he does not use his periphels which gets him sacked, and gets his balls batted at the line.

Actually, they didn't. One of the minus plays in that game was Henne's TD to Bess. He got a minus for the ball being a bit underthrown. And neither of the late INTs were Henne's fault. On one, Bess simply fell down. On the other, Mickey Shuler, who was not used to playing, didn't run his route correctly.
The thing you have to remember about organizations like the Football Outsiders and profootballfocus.com is that they are actually looking at these things objectively. Dolphins fans aren't.
According to the receiving splits on cnnsi.com, Hartline was underthrown 4 times all season.
According to cnnsi.com, for the entire season, Henne was charged with 14 underthrown passes. By comparison, Tom Brady had 23. So, is cnnsi somehow biased in favor of Henne?
stop making excuses for him. bottom line is every time he had the ball at the end of the game needing a score to win or tie, he fd up and threw a pick or we went 4 and out. in those situations good nfl qbs move the team, at least. sh*tty ones do what henne did
well, your recollection is wrong! I was defending HENNE so I DAMN WELL WATCHED! This is not the first time I posted this! I posted it again and a goddamn 'gin. You add up the games where we got in the redzone or the 30 yard line where we didn't make a touchdown and WE INSERTED THE WILDCAT for a couple of plays, and then add up the trips we had to the red zone WHERE WE NEVER PUT IN THE WILDCAT AND then let's compare stats as to whether we scored touchdowns or not and I'll damn well bet you, you'll see a correlation between our failure to score a touchdown and the insertion of the wildcat.
And IT WAS PARTICULARLY AT THE END OF THE GAME WHEREIN HENNING WAS MOST IN LOVE WITH INSERTING THE WILDCAT.

det
all were games he had the ball in his hands on the last drive to win or tie---no wildcat---and he threw a pick/4 and out
but yeah you're right, henne's a great QB.
man you are really reaching. those stats don't show the ints or the horrible throws or really prove anything at all. I see tyler thigpen on that list, he really lit up the bears
But I thought he SUCKED SO BAD. Sucks bad, top passer in most of the games he played, Sucks bad, top passer in most of the games he played, Sucks bad, top passer in most of the games he played,Sucks bad, top passer in most of the games he played, etc.....

RESPONSE: Yeah, but that puts everyone on the TEAM in the same category which is precisely my point.
Thanks for making it for me and thanks for simplifying it so that it cannot be disputed.
A stupid pissing match.......why the f**k do you guys even waste your time arguing and trying to change each others minds???? You never will so why try....stupid argument.
The wildcat worked 2 seasons ago, and faded late in that season. Still, Henning and/or Sparano chose to keep rolling with it and not only stifled the offence, but put your QB on the sidelines to watch these lame plays.
Henne definitely wasn't great, but OUR RUNNING game totally sucked....and OUR COACHING SUCKED!
Until ,these 2 things IMPROVE, we will be a 7-9 team.
This team can win with Henne, draft a RB and/or pickup DeAngelo Williams...throw out the wildcat and give this QB a chance. I still say he is better than Sanchez, who has been to the AFC Championships twice already.
