Gee. This guy has barely anything to say bad about any of these guys. Talk about rose-colored glasses. Dude, be objective!

Gee. Doesn't this guy have a program that highlights misspelled words. Wordperfect would do it. At one point, he even misspells Dolphins. Hey, on a chatboard like this, no problem but when you put out a news article......

Ha, Ha, that's pretty funny. I do remember those.

Anyone remember a game called Strategy Football. You had a bunch of offense and defense cards. Each player picked a card, offense or defense, and slid the cards into a slot then plucked a ball on a spring that would settle on a position of the card that told what the gain was.

It was pretty cool actually. All the odds of a play working against a particular defense was quite true to the real odds.

We formed a league like the NFL and had home and away games. The home team hosted the other guy and served up the beer.smileys with beer

Don't remember that one. I had the game where offense and defense picked a play using a strip of film kind of like color slides that had 4 or so frames. You put them in a plastic projector and ran the frames. Depending on the plays each one picked you got different results and moved a ball along a game board.

My favorite was probably 'Super-toe' remember him?

My gosh YES! My cousins had the electric football set and it's all I ever wanted to play with when I went to their house.!

Are you talking about the type of electric set wherein the pieces were all statutettes and the board trembled and they moved all funnny kind of ways that had nothing to do with football but was strictly based on the shaking of the board which first came out in 1958 or 1959?

If so, yeah, funny how as a ten year old I was satisfied as punch and the kids today, or even the kids of 20 years ago would have laughed and scratched their heads.

yes, that. Notice the link in KB's post is the quarterback/kicker from one of those sets. right down to the felt mold you'd punch out for the 'football'. We old farts were sure easy to please in the old days, weren't we.
