I can't take credit for this (Omar Kelly's) but I think it is a legit one. If Henne was released today how many teams would be lining up to claim his as their starter?
Maybe;
Carolina, 49er's, and Arizona. Not sure what that says but I doubt it's a good thing.
I think at least half the teams would bring him into to compete for a starting spot... No one but the elite guys get brought in already penciled in as a starter...
and they are: Washington, Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Buffalo, Minnesota, San Francisco, Jets, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Oakland, Carolina, and Arizona, are the teams I would guess , would pick up Henne and give him a shot to compete for the starting spot...
Flacco, Ryan, Freeman, Sanchez, Fitzpatrick, Stafford, Cassell, Bradford, none of them are elite (Ryan looks to have the goods) All guys with about the same amount of experience as Henne. I would take all of them before Chad.
Stafford was a first overall pick, so was Bradford, Ryan was in the top3.. That is as elite as they come IMO...
Do you think any of them would have thrived and taken our team to the playoffs with the personel, game planning, and OC we had last year? I do not...
Sorry I do not buy that Sanchez is a better QB then Henne.... He has had a better team around him IMO.. I would not want Sanchez if you gave him to me...
I do not believe Rex Ryan and the Jets believe Sanchez is the QB of the future in NY...

I disagree on Sanchez. He is not "elite" but he most certainly is better that Henne at this stage. He has proven he can win. He has brought his team back several times late in the game. Something Henne isn't even close to. As young as he is, his future is bright.
Henne? We have no idea.

### we both know that where you are drafted doesn't garentee success (ala you Sanchez argument) listed Ryan and Flacco because we passed on both and took Henne. My point is if Henne was released today not many teams would be linning up to claim him and as an organization we need to do better than that.###
I disagree, I think organizations think he was poorly used, and under utilized and mismanaged. So teams would be all over him IMO, including the Jets. As I said the Jets OLINE, and TE and WR core is much better then what Henne has had to work with... That means yes I believe there is a ver good chance that Chad Henne will have a better and longer career then Mark Sanchez, whether or not it is with the Dolphins I am not sure.
