"Locker to Stocker, Touchdown Dolphins!!!"

I really hope Locker's stock drops during the eval period, so we have a shot at him. This guy has "IT". But I don't think he gets past San Fran. And Luke Stocker from Tennessee is a monster! You give Locker weapons like Marshall, Bess, Stocker, he is going to be successful.

locker has "it"? based on what? he came back for his senior year when he would have been the #1 overall pick (to me a big red flag) and then stunk up the joint. his numbers as a senior were horrible. I'll be pissed if we take this guy in the first.

Does this analogy apply to Lock also?

By "stinking up the joint" you mean having a terrible supporting cast and receivers with hands like bowling balls, then yes, I agree. The "IT" I always refer to is the emotional drive that some players have and some don't. Alot of players in the NFL play because of the money. Once they get that big contract, they shut it down because they got their money. Then there are others that play because they love the game, and they win, because they can't stand to lose. Locker has that fierce competitor attitude that you want. That's your "IT"

not too mention his poor stats, he had the poise and leadership of a turd. Hes not worth a first, but he should be around early third im guessing, maybe we take a chance on him there.

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

Boy, I have Alzheimer's. I was trying to figure this thread out until I realized you guys were talking about Locker, not Luck.

poor supporting cast, that is the same excuse we've been hearing about Henne (despite the addition of Marshall). Sorry but to replace him I don't want another guy we have to make excuses for---I want someone who, at least in college, was able to ELEVATE the play of those around him, and not be "dragged down" (assuming that's what happened) by it.

Somewhat. To me someone who goes back to school when they have nothing to gain and millions to lose isn't that driven to prove himself on the next level and play in the NFL. Think of Leinhart. Too content with the "good life" and being the best player on the field. This doesn't mean Luck, or Locker, is going to fail, but to me it is not a good sign.

I can deal with another mediocre season, if that means we get Luck next year, and draft a ELITE O-LINE this year!

Guys remember (as Phinsfan gratioustly brought to my attention), Luck was only a redshirt sophomore this past season.
