You either want the ball, or you don't. Stop waffling when things don't go exactly your way. From what he has said to the media, it sounds like he didn't like being told what to do, period. While I appreciate his efforts to come back to the dolphins and right a seemingly horrible, selfish wrong, I think he has developed into a RB that thinks he knows how to play the game better than his coaches. However he may come around, if he can't get more money elsewhere, or if the only team(s) interested in him are in cities he has no desire to live in.
