Speaking of dreamin....
Ryan Kahlil will be a FA this year I think (with CBA).
Sign him at C and Tyson Clabo at RT, Incog at G and draft a rookie to compete with Jerry and Garner (if we can resign him).

Guys, alot of guys in NFL circles are starting to shy away from Mallett. Kiper and McShay are only giving him a 2nd round grade.
Great. Knock that rascal down to #15.
Ireland will take him. Just watch. Brilliant move pending.
Who knows. Where do they get the 'no smarts' thing. Yea, he sorta blew the bowl game at the end, but he almost single handedly kept them in it. When has Henne ever shown that? Vick blew his playoff game at the end but I don't hear Philly fans clamoring for his head.
Anybody watch much Arkansas football this year? Is the guy an INT machine? You can't tell $h1t from watching ESPN highlights and listening to their hype, heck they think Sanchez is all world.

He's not that mobile, but neither was Marino. He's shiftier than Henne. He's got that Big Ben height (actually a little taller). I don't know what to think, exactly, but he COULD BE a steal for us.
My question is, having not watched that much of him, how quick is his release? If blitzed, can he make the defense pay? That's a big intangible that Henne doesn't have.
Mallett doesn't have the leadership intangible, but neither does Henne or Thigpen. Vince Young DID have that in college, but it hasn't done that much for him in the pros. So, not sure.

He's got a strong arm and he takes chances with it. Marino and Elway did the same. It got them in trouble sometimes, but they also made some great plays with it. Both guys matured in the NFL.
I think the Mallett/Marshall combination could be very successful. Marshall doesn't need a perfectly thrown ball or to be completely open to get the completion. Henne was hesitant to throw in to coverage, and when he missed a throw it was WAY off. If Marshall can get in-sync with a young QB, I think he could make up for occasional accuracy issues. If that QB likes to take chances, it would definitely make for a more exciting offense! I wouldn't mind a few more INTs if we also get a ton more TDs.

Same here. Of course I see everything through the prism of hating what we have, but of the draft mentions I saw play in the bowl games, Mallett looked the most 'NFL-like' to me. My gut tells me he won't be there @ 15 though.

Yes, but I don't think they were that in their rookie seasons. Maybe I'm wrong. I remember BOTH players taking chances on throws most QBs wouldn't make. I remember a number of INTs by Marino that were ill-advised throws into double and triple coverage. As these guys gained experience and a rapport with their receivers, their INTs went down.

Marino scored a 15. Brian Griese scored a 39. I don't put much value on that test.

I don't know. Henne will give him a run for his money.
