But if they start Henna anything is possible. I find this pick a “safe” choice in the fact he’s been an OC and there are some connections back to him. It certainly is NOT a bold move or anything that implies a lot of
>>> imagination. Duh. Where would that
come from?
The fact he’s really young is a big plus for this staff.
As others have noted he has 2 arms and 2 legs and has been around some good
golfers and coaches. I’ve heard he likes pizza and spicy chicken wings
and that might prove decisive in the 4th quarter.
Maybe. Seriously. The dude works hard and puts in long hours. Sparano
certainly likes to let everyone know he’s a 20 hour a day mofo so
maybe this guy will keep him company?
Avoiding depression is also important. And Tony being alone is not the best.
Last, we ALL know Henning was in bed by 8PM.
THAT was our #1 problem. Daboll will party way past midnight!
I can’t wait. Maybe. Seriously.
BenVolinPBP Just got off the phone with Pennington. Had some very interesting things to say about Daboll. Also said he will def try to come back next yr
I think some of you guys are speculating to the point of getting yourself depressed and way to pissed. Not good for the heart, or drinking arms.
You guys pay way to much attention to stats and as a result know very little about intangibles. Things could work out very well here. Should be a very interesting off season.

Agreed. I just hope they can reach a new CBA ASAP instead of waiting until the last minute. No FA or trades or draft player trades really sucks. We can't even sign our own FA's.
Sparano needed another chubster to walk the stairs with him before every game. I guarantee you Daboll will be slimmer before opening day. Sparano needed a workout partner, that's the reason. Another P90X candidate.
The other guys were either too slimm or too old. That was the problem. I'll bet you Sparano is breaking down Dabolls diet plan right now.
Well first of all, Childress and McDaniels were not gonna come here. Childress has free money, he will not coach next season. McDaniels on the other hand is still very close with Billicheat, he was not gonna come here and burn his bridges. Plus he has a chance to coach a young, stud, QB in Bradford. Come one guys, Bradford or Henne....DUH! Thats a no-brainer.
Secondly, I would rather have Daboll than Chris Palmer, or "Chud". Palmer is Henning 2.0, and "Chud" is just a specific positions coach, and nothing more.
Daboll is 35! Just 35! Plus, the guy had *NOBODY* on his offense, only Peyton Hillis.
Do you guys realize that Norv Turner, Chan Gailey, and Mike Mularkey failed here because of lack of talent. I am not going to hold his time in Cleveland against him.
With that being said, HE BETTER FIND A QB COACH AND A NEW QB!

i will say that he comes from a heritage of winning, being with the patriots for all there super bowl titles, and he seems to have done well with colt McCoy for what its worth.
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

-Daboll the 'safe' pick for Sparano, Ireland, etc. who don't want a coach they fear may be better at his job than they are at theirs.
-Daboll a believer in the same offensive philosophy as Sparano. (As a side question, do we really know what Sparano's philosophy is? Most likely he was just implementing Parcells ideas.)
-Daboll an up and coming talent who deserves a shot.
