Vontae and nnamdi? that would be fearsom.

When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry
it would make sean smith tradeable, he is a good CB just cant catch a cold. Trade him for a Rb, or better yet draft picks.

He will get his catching down. last year he worked on tacklin, this year I'm sure he is going to work on catching. He will be fine this up comming season.
Id rather have picks, but hell a batted ball down is good enough for me.
Phinsfan is right go spend that on Mankin's, or Jackson.
Can someone please explain to me how Nnamdi Asomugha, was able to get his contract voided and keep the clause in the contract that says he cannot be franchised tagged?

he would probably make a great mentor to sean smith, imo

Don't we still have Will Allen, or will he be a UFA?

Just pointing out we have even more talent from what you mentioned.

It really makes me wonder why the heck we paid him his salary to sit on IR just so he can leave when the season is over. Where is the logic in that? Please, can someone explain that to me?
I'm not 100 percent on this Monty, but I believe that how much you pay someone who gets placed on IR is completely dependent on the individuals contract. Most cases, they don't get paid as much as if they play(especially if said contract is laden with performance incentives, and roster bonuses). In a year that we didn't have a salary cap, putting him on IR saved the organization money and freed up a roster spot.

Exactly! So, why put him on IR just to have him leave the following year as a UFA? That's the part I don't get.
I'd really like to see the NFL change their IR rules to be more like the NBA. Why shouldn't a player put on IR early in the year have the ability to come back if their team makes the playoffs?
I think they paid Will Allen and he sat on the IR because he had not fully recovered enough for us to use him, but had we cut him after an injury I am sure he still would have been guaranteed the rest of his contract. The IR just kept anyone else from signing him or him trying to come back last year half hazardly on another team. So basicly WIll got paid no matter what happened. SO keep control of the player if you can justify it... Probably doesnt make the player to happy though
