What's wrong with having an owner that get's off his ass, and is ready to act fast and spend money!!??
He and Ireland don't look bad, and Sparano wasn't left to twist. Tony knows that everyone ia accountable, and coming off back to back 7-9 seasons, he had to know that feelers could be put out to explore an upgrade at HC.
For all we know Harbaugh was offered to be the highest paid OC in the NFL. We all know Henning is out, and the immediate need was OC, not HC since Sparano was still under contract, and I think, had Ireland's confidence all along.
This crap about a rift between Ireland and Sparano is probably the farthest thing from the truth. Tabloid journalism!!

Your assuming the media was right. Many in the media have admitted their mistakes. Ross claims to have never made an offer to Harbaugh and to never have even talked with Cowher or Gruden. What is true? I am not sure, but I suppose the truth lies somewhere inbetween.
Goatdrool calling a multi billionaire a clown.
Now that's funny!!!
All he did was talk to him, from that talk, Ross was so unimpressed he told Har to stay at Stanford. Never offered him a job at all. Not even as OC.
Quit hating!!
It is nowhere near overblown....this was a classless move by an owner that has no concept how business is done in the NFL. He is a real estate guy. He comes from a profession where there is no such thing as either ethics or a code of conduct. He just burned more bridges in the NFL than he can shake a stick at. We will never see anybody with a good career head to Miami as long as he has his hands on the controls. Look at how all of the other teams handled their business. They fire the coach, then they go looking. Sparano will be a non presence to the players since they know Ross treated him like somebody that had nowhere else to go. Sparano better have made him pay through the nose for this move because he is going to have a hell of a time getting anything out of the players in Miami after this fiasco!!
