You are on some good meds. The best We can hope for is a lockout. The team had given up on the coach so what makes you think they will play next year? This does not look promising and with little to No help in the draft I don't see a good outcome.

Wow. Some of you have gone off the deep end.

The most embarrassing thing to ever happen to this franchise?

Worse than the 1-15 season?

It sucks but it's not THAT BAD. Get a grip.

You're right. We should have expected this from someone who graduated from Michigan business school. lol

It was the press that created alot of the speculation and drama.
I am not happy how it went down. But I am cool with giving Sparano another year. The reason being is, now I know we will go after a QB this year in order to fulfill ROss's demand for a splash to sell tickets, and getting a new QB is what I think is ultimately the best move for the organization this offseason.

I don't have a problem with Sporano staying, but the way this whole mess unraveled- offering 3 other guys the HC position, and then retaining Sporano really looks bad for the orginization. This being done at the same time the Dolphins ask for Broward County to pitch in tax money for the roof on the stadium-really poor PR and worse timing.
Bottom line: Ross messed up big time on the way he handled this. He wants home games to be "an event". The only thing that will be eventful is the score of empty orange seats next season due to this week's events. Ross wanted to compete with the Heat, and now he's competing with the Marlins for distant 2nd place in this town. I will still root for this team, but I feel almost embarrassed to be a Dolphins fan right now.
Only way to possibly reverse this downward trend is to somehow sign some really big name player on offense (Qcool smiley in the offseason, along with a high profile guy to be OC.

My problem is with the 3 coach's in mind, and what the f. is there problem!

What they too good to coach our team, they can go kick rocks.

We don't need them! ALL 3 TURNED DOWN THE BIGGEST MONEY!!!

ALL 3 TURNED DOWN EXCLUSIVE OFFER'S AND MADE OUR TEAM LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF B.Ches.

It's ok though, because when they all start coaching on really pathetic team's, making only like 5 to 6 mill a year, A.L.L of them "in the words of chappy sinclair", Iron eagle....

Will regret it, when there team's only turn in 6-10 win season's, then they get canned 3 year's later!! Lol......... F.ck you Cowher, don't ever come back, Gruden, I could punch your metro butt right in the kisser!!!! Oh yeah it would feel fantastic. Harbaugh? LOL God I will pray that you fail misserably!! I will be the first one laughing at your gay SanFran self. Good luck rebuilding that team into somthing worth a crap!!!

Ok here is what I think happened behind closed doors and you tell me if it was really that bad to Sparano.

1)Ross said after the loss, he is worried about the future, with the team losing money and fan suppports.

2)He says it would be foolish for him to not talk to others and try and listen to everybody's plan for the future of the Dolphins. Once hearing everybodys plan, He will decide which he thinks is best for the organization

3)He Meets with Gruden and COwher to discuss what they would do with the Dolphins

4)He meets with Tony Sparano for his plan on monday

5)He meets with Harbaugh yesterday to hear his plan...

After listening to all of the plans, Ross decides that he likes Sparano plan the best.

Ross decides the plans with COwher and Gruden were to destructive, and he didnt want to blow up the team and start over. IF ROss really wanted one of these guys they would have gotten the job IMO.

Harbaugh is alot of money and a big risk with little successful NFL coaching experience. Plus the guy is west coast guy that seems like he wants to stay

They call Tony, and tell him, They talked to all the people in the business they told him they were goingo to talk to and heard what they had to say, and we think you have the best plan Tony.

Ireland calls Sparano, and says told you I had your back, and you better be glad I was their to keep them honest about who has the best plan. Tony feels like Ireland was the guy that protected him, and helped save his job. Ireland apologizes to Sparano, telling him he feels responsible for putting Tony on the hot seat, by not nailing him down a QB, which is Irelands job, not Sparano. Sparano says dont worry about it, but you better not mess up again or we both are gone. Ireland says dont worry about it, I am going to get us that QB. ANd be a hero to you and Ross and the fans that dont believe. Cool, lets ROck and make this offseason majic.

Crowder - I love that explanation. I hope you are right.

On the surface, this looks like a complete mess; and it's easy to jump to negative conclusions about what happened when we don't have all the facts.

That is exactly how I feel. I dont mind Sparano at all. But the way this was handled is embarrassing.

Down right embarrassing.

Most Likely:

1.) Ricky is history.

2.) Marshall will ask to be traded.

3.) ANOTHER MISERABLE YEAR OF 'Waiting for Henne to develop' UGH!!!!

5.) The wildcat lives on.

4.) Carpenter becomes team MVP.

What kind of idiot interviews other coaches while one is still employed? I can't understand how Ross thinks this employer/employee relationship will work now! Sparano will probably draft trash and quit about June of next year.

Our only saving grace now will be if Sparano resigns. It's the best move for him AND the Phins right now.

Adam Schefter reported this morning on ESPN that Ross and Company never provided a firm offer to Harbaugh. Maybe that was the case with Gruden and Cowher. I have to say that all this is quite puzzling.

It appears in hindsight that they were simply testing the waters, putting feelers out, but they were not discreet in going about it. Maybe being discreet is no longer possible with eyes and ears (electronic devices of all kinds) everywhere tracking movements.

Well, as far as I'm concerned put this in the bizarre business column for Ross and Company. Is he going to be eccentric like Al Lewis, Daniel Snyder, Jerry Jones etc.?

I don't know about eccentricity, but this borders on stupidity. As a business man, Ross HAS TO recognize what this media circus has done to his organization and his current coach. One thing is having a phone conversation. Flying out to the west coast with your GM and cronies is completely different.

well given the way we have handle interviews in the past, can we really be surprised that they didn't agree? (See Ryan Clark).

Besides that, what self respecting coach would ever accept a contract to a job that is already been filled? That in its own right shows poor management skills. They see that this is how he gets treated when he has done good things here, how can i expect to be treated then if i dont win a superbowl right away either?

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

Sparano better pray he can get a legitimate OC, if he wants to keep his job past 2011.

Our hopes (and Tony's) lie on the next OC.

He obviously will be the coach this year, and he better get a legitimate OC.

I'll return to a theme I certainly didn't expect to repeat. TS seems to be a great dude. He's certainly a very hard worker. He's totally honest.

But...he seems a bit underwhelming in the neuron department, and I think you need a very bright mind to be a TOP level NFL HC nowadays.

Sparano can get a team to a certain point and that's about it. I hope I'm wrong but obviously Ross and Ireland *wink* think he's the man.

RESPONSE: The KING (Le Bron) and his Court are dead. You are priviliged to witness the birth of "GOD" in the NBA. Blake Griffin, the team, the Clippers, is Clicking and neither the Heat, Celtics, nor Lakers will be able to compete.

ROTFLMAO....

We played a terrible game...yet lost by only 6.....Had it been the other way around the clippers lose by 40 points.

It's tough to keep a streak like that going. The Heat were bound to lose at some point, but they'll just start another streak.

IMO....If TS wants to keep his job, he had better find a QB.

Remember all the complaining about Mike Mularkey? He is now a hot OC bc he has Matt Ryan.

but we also need a decent OC and QB coach.
