He suggested to Dan Lebatard that Miami could be fined 500 thousand and their first pick in the draft for not honoring the Rooney rule. He says they will not take that chance in his opinion

It's a dumb rule. You hire the best candiate.

BUT, it would be just like Ross to go off half baked and screw it up....and all this drama for Jim Harbaugh? C'Mon? I wouldn't believe this in a zillion years, but sadly it's true...

If they mess up on the stupid rule, then they are stupid. They know the rules, and know how this works.

Go down to the street in Cali, I am sure they can find a mexican, and interview him....offer him a burrito and a corona to take over the job, then when he says, ok, I will take it....say well nevermind. We just needed to interview you, Alejandro.

Its kind of when, you know, blacks can call blacks the "N" word, but nobody else can.

The rule has past its time. There are plenty of black coaches, including HCs that have been very successful, in the NFL. There are also black QBs, etc...

I'm surprised, though, that no one has made a big deal about the fact that there are no black kickers!!

we had one like 20 years ago. That should count for something right?

"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry

That was a punter (Reggie Roby), right? I don't think there's EVER been a black kicker in the NFL.

Thats because black kids in America don't really care for kicking the football, when they can catch it and run it in from anywhere on the field.

Why waist your god given athletic abilities to kick a ball?

Soccer is for that.

The real question is why don't we see alot of Spainards kicking the footballs?
