What about the Rooney Rule? Not interviewing eligible minority coaches could lead to the NFL imposing a fine on the Dolphins if they do hire Harbaugh. The drama continues....

It has been reported by Florio, that Miami will say that they already interviewed a minority candidate, most likely a current staff member. SO they will say they talked to Bowles at some point about being their HC, even thought they already have one....

I'm cautiously optimistic. I will be good to see Sparano move on. If he does go to Michigan or UConn, I hope he's successful there. Unlike Saban, I have no hard feelings regarding Sparano.

I doubt he goes to Mich, what makes anyone think they'd want him

Dan Lebatard is reporting it is a done deal on his radio show, but he is a bit nervous because he says his source is not one of the people in the room with Harbaugh and Ross

I am not convinced Harbaugh is leaving, because of Luck staying. What happens if Luck and Stanford suck next year and fail to transisition to a new coach. Luck is a fool if he stays with a new coach coming in on top of everything else he is risking by playing next year. I dont get it. Unless this is a last ditch effort to keep Harbaugh in Stanford, why announce it while your current HC is getting ready to meet with us.

sorry, but seeing "breaking news" thread on a day when everyone's waiting for offical word on our next coach, and finding no "news" at all is just a bit of a let down
