This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
They have a philosophy and system in place that no matter who comes in and who goes whether player or coaches they keep winning. With the Phins, they require ALL Pros in every position to be successful it appears. They bring in the back ups and they look better than our starters.
NE has attitude, talent (that we let go), coaching, a QB and everything needed to win a superbowl.....AGAIN!
Miami has an ex, burned retina fry cook as a coach, a pathetic geriatric OC, receivers that drop 50% of the passes, a POS QB that belongs in a field scaring crows, OLD and broke down running backs......I could go on forever!
It's all about talent evaluation and culture.
Bilicheck would have never given a punter the game ball after a pathetic performance getting a LUCKY win.
As I has stated in another thread today, there constant has been QB and HC, the D coordinator the O coordinator, have changed over and over, the RB's all come from a scrap pile, they trade away there best D player patch there DB's They Trade away WR's bring in replacements that are not so great but they play great... Why There HC and QB demand it...
Elite O-line great speed all over, great coaching, and the best offensive scheme in the game, effectivly changing the way Offense is played in the NFL, which brings me to my point of defense's starting to turn to the 4-2-5 alignment. Speed is needed over run stuffers nowadays.
There is a big difference. The difference is that New England looks for players who can perform the fundamentals at their position. They have SURE-HANDED RECEIVERS and even those who can make the difficult catch.
They have running backs who refuse to go down.
They have tacklers who tackle.
They don't go for a name (like Brandon Marshall) they go for performance, like Wes Welker.
It seems the only position out of which WE demand perfection is the quarterback position.
Those sure handed receivers you speak of other then Walker were Slugs on other teams They go to NE and they are Great, those RB's that refuse to go down, are off the scrap pile that no one wanted any more, They went for the big name in Randy Moss he left the Pats and he now rides the bench, why is it they are great for the Pats and are not much of a player on other teams????? Could it be the coach don't stand for anything less then 100% in a game and practice? Is it that the QB will rip some heads off if they come back to the huddle after a so so effort to catch a ball or run it???? If you miss blocks you think you are still in on the next play on that team? No you are on the side line....
In a league where one win is big, we are middle of the road with 7 wins. NE is 7 wins (double our total) better.
We are the middle of the pack and their win total is almost one magnetude greater than ours. That states quite a lot about where we are in regards to where we need to be.
I think we are closer than it seems now (very frustrating season foll all). I am now in the camp that wants a signifcant move for a higher skill set QB.
It's simple, the system they run is what makes them great.
It's friendly to quarterbacks, puts players in positions to make plays, creates favorable matchups, maximizes player quickness with route selection, is innvoative, and is aggressive at all times. It's an easy system to be sucessful in.
Brady plays and looks other worldly, then his backups come in and look like league leaders as well. It's the system, they have one that really, really works and we don't...simple.
And I am in no way belittling the obvious talents of Brady by saying it's the system more then it is him.
For such a copy-cat league I don't understand why everyone doesn't run a variation of it.

I would agree with that. I even bet Henne would do well there.
Also Bill for the Pats is pissed when his team settles for a field Goal Tony for the Fins Jumps out of his shoes with excitement and actually calls the game to get field goals as in the 2nd and 10 wildcat a few weeks back he admitted that...
