No, they definately mean OC.....the new Coach, Will Muschamp (you guys should remember him from the Saban days) has taken over the HC and has contacted Weis and talked him into taking over the offense at Florida.
I don't know why Charlie Weiss would elect to return to the college ranks when he's shown very good ability coaching at the assistant level in the NFL. His time at HC at ND was forgettable. If he does take the Gator OC job it will be a good thing for the program, but achieving at KC is a good thing too. Without knowing all the reasons, jumping back to the college ranks seems very odd to me. Weiss already owns 3 SB rings--is he looking to add a National Championship to his resume.

I still don't get it. With the OC position obviously opening up in Miami, why would he go to Gainsville instead?

I wonder if they could make him the OC/asst. HC then? Just a thought.

As Phinsfan said, He can't take an OC job in NFL, he is under contract, the only way out of it is through an NFL HC oppurtunity or college.
As far as UM goes, they are not considered in the top tier programs anymore and Florida is still considered a top program. Not to mention, Florida also has the number 1 blue chip QB prospect signed up for next year
