It's about time. I've been expecting Marshall to come out about this much earlier. It goes hand-in-hand with his prima donna reputation...but in this case he's absolutely right (and I don't think fans will hold it against him for saying it).
He sounds just like T.O. Nothing classy about this jerk.
If he could actually catch half of the balls that he dropped then his numbers would be considerably more impressive.
Shut the FU and quit blaming somebody else for your mediocre performance.
Fans expected an opening up of the passing game with Marshall and that did not happen. His comment about throwing the ball up for grabs is a little too dangerous, but conceptually, he wants more opportunities down field, not the 10 yard stuff. I'm okay with trying it, but...I'm afraid it's too late to make any difference this season because Henne's not accurate enough to connect on 30+ yard passes. Nothing good will come of it against NE.
Marshall did not live up to his billing despite making lots of short catches and dropping way to many that may have made a difference in a game. His foolish antics hurt plays and team momentum. He has a lot to learn about just how wonderful he really is as a team player.

True he hasnt been consistan in catching them, and not causing stupid penalties, however I wouldnt call him a jerk, just a guy who isnt affraid of telling or showing how he fees, which I agree isnt the best way to go about it, however he isnt wrong in his assesstment.

See, I disagree. We add one speed WR, and we still have 3 WR with below average speed. And the two primary WR are guys who are really slow and who both work the same part of the field. I have real doubts if Marshall and Bess can co-exist within our offense without bogging it down. And not just the passing game, the running game, too, because they are still going to draw the safeties close to the line. I think it was a mistake to pair them together. Marshall is not a true X receiver, because he is not a deep threat. And we are paying him like he is an X. But, if we played him more like an X, and sent him on deeper routes, he wouldn't get as many catches, and he'd complain even more and commit more intentional penalties. He is a bad fit, given our existing personnel. And do you think it's good having a WR telling a young QB to throw the ball to him no matter what the coverage, when the coaches are telling him the opposite? Marshall is not running the offense, and he should do his job and keep his mouth shut. Mike Shanahan drafted him. And he needs a possession WR. Maybe we could get Washington to give us two second round picks for him. Then we could add a veteran deep threat and a rookie deep threat, and spread the ball around a lot more.

Marshall and Bess are our best 2 WRs, but Bess is our #3 (slot) WR. We need a speed guy at #2, which leaves Hartline as our #4. Unfortunately, I think Hartline is too good to be a #4. Hence, I still think we should try to trade Hartline.
