No way. If Ross keeps Sparano it will be the same kind of mistake as when Huizenga hung on to Wanny. Worse...if they hire McDaniels expect Nolan to leave for a HC job somewhere else. If we lose Nolan and keep Sparano, we're sunk. We have a solid defense, but we don't have the right talent on offense to be high powered like McDaniels would like. If our defense gets worse, our offense may not be able to improve enough to make up for it.

McDaniels basically ran Nolan out of Denver with his piss poor egocentric ways. If McDaniels gets hired and Nolan doesn't bolt, I'll do my best to eat my shoe. If we keep Sparano, then our owner has no feeling for the pulse of this fan base and what it will take to get people back into the seats in his stadium, outside of the first few home games. It's going to take BIG NAME coaching to spark the kind of interest in this team that Ross needs to sell out consistently. Hell, they don't "really" sell out as it is.
Gary Kubiak is also being mentioned as an OC candidate.
I'm OK with Sparano keeping his job as long as we get an OC thats agressive and calls better games.
An agressive OC will likely mean that we are more inclined to draft another quarterback...something we should do for competition's sake regardless of who the OC is, IMHO.
My wish list for the 2011 draft: must have speed however.
RD1-WR or QB
RD3-QB, RB or TE
RD4-RB, TE, MLB
RD5-BPA
RD6-BPA
RD7-BPA
We can get OG, RT and S in Free Agency.

At least this would be one good sign, and that's that Ross isn't "consulting" with Peterson at this point. Like I said before, if Tony would tweek his conservative approach and not play for FGs, I could live with his other warts, something to be said for some stability also.
Also Ken, the problem with fixing anything in free agency, is that it might not happen this year (or at least be a shortened version of it) because of the CBA. Bad year to need alot of "fixing"
If Sparano stays, don't count on drafting another QB. If Sparano stays, he will be on thin ice. He won't have 2-3 years to invest in developing another QB. And he'll know that. They'll bring in a new OC, and a new QB coach to work with Henne. And they'll bring in a veteran to compete with Henne. But, it's too late for Sparano to start over with a rookie QB. The only way that happens is if the current regime gets the boot.

I totally agree Sparano is from the Parcells school of I dont care about QB's. Meanwhile in the past ten years Brady, Peyton and Rothisburger have most of the rings. Dolphins need a new coach who values the franchise QB.
if BP wants to keep TS then I want him gone. Parcells doesn't care about this team, only his "legacy" and it would look bad for him if the team fired his handpicked coach. So regardless BP's vote of confidence is fallacious. Supposedly the rumor that BP talked to Ross isn't true anyway

You do realize it will cost him about 20 mil. to make a wholesale regime change right now dont you?
I read that figure somewhere, I think it includes what he's also paying Parcells and what it would cost to replace all of these clowns. I realize he would have to pay Parcells regardless, but i'm just pointing out a regime change wont come cheaply either.
Cowher/Gruden will be big bucks + Parcells + the buyouts = $$$$$$$$$$$
