Brian Billick.

I mentioned him a few weeks back. If Sparano wants his job, he will make a pitch to get Billick and then replace Henne.

Billick is terrible, just look at the Ravens' offense during his tenure. No thank you.

I keep thinking of how he single-handedly lost the game playing against NE during their undefeated regular season. A time-out call completely destroyed their momentum when they were going to put the nail in the coffin. It was Sparano-esque. No...I don't want Billick.

DO you people understand football?????

I am talking of the guy being our offensive coordinator, NOT OUR HEAD COACH.

DO you douchebags understand the difference in being a coordinator, and a head coach??

Phinsfan2, with all due respect,

He did not have a power football scheme in Baltimore. He had a bad offense, and it was mostly his fault for playing mad scientist with bad QBs. Kyle Boller? Come on, dude!

Thank you Phinsfan, atleast 1 person "gets it".

The guy was a great O coordinator. Thats what I want, not him as a head coach.

His offense in Minnesota set an NFL record for most points scored in a season. And Nolan coached under him for 4 years. He could be a guy that they could hire, and still keep Nolan.

Careful Phinsfan2, you've been throwing a lot of logical statements around the board lately. Some people may take offense.

Listen, I am in the same boat with Phinsfan.

I never said I wanted the guy as our HC, but, the guy is a great O-coordinator and I would take him as that in a heart beat.

Matter of fact, I would take a bump on a log as an O-coordinator over Dan Henning and his "1958 offense".

I want someone not named Henning (and probably not named Lee or Dorrall) to be our OC very soon (read: several weeks ago...perhaps even before the season started), and I want him to make a decision about Henne. I don't know if it's Billick (though I'm not opposed to him at this point), but I'd like an unbiased proven OC opinion on Henne. Frankly, if Billick concluded that he can't work with Henne to be part of an offense that's part of getting us to the promised land, then I'd be inclined to take it at face value.

I don't take anything Henning says at face value because I think he's protecting his legacy.

Billick?

Eww.

Billy Goat would eat him for a snack.

He's one of the few who could actually be LESS imaginative than what we've had.

thumbs down

Yes. I feel better now. This thread blends in more with that post.

If we get Billick and it comes out that Cowher was willing to come here, I'll develop an opinion that Ross is a moron.
