didn't he say how great pasqualoni was 2 days before he got canned? plus accd to sparano everything is always great, I don't put any stock in his statement thought it would have been nice to hear him lay into henning
Yeah, I really tried hard to get behind Sparano, but at this point it's apparent that he doesn't have the right vision for the team.
Playing for FGs?!! Really?!! Uhhhh....that's just not going to cut it.
How he ever considered Henning a competent OC is almost enough to get him replaced on it's own. QB evaluating/developing ability is not strong. And as a former OL coach, developement there has questionable.
He may be a great position coach, but not much of a HC.

At least with Wanny we had playoffs and winning records every season except the last one.
Under Wanny, the Dolphins regular season record was 42-31, with playoff appearances in his first two seasons, we lost a tiebreaker in the 3rd season.
If the Dolphins had a proper franchise QB to replace Marino back then, Wanny would have been in Miami a lot longer than he was.
Not that I`m defending Wanny, but back then after Marino retired we had this organization held to a very high standard with playoffs coming every season for us, with Wanny we kept coming up short of making the superbowl so he stepped down since the record we had the last season he was here was 1-8.
The point is when you`re starting to appreciate the Wanny years because we made the playoffs and were competitive enough to be playoff contenders every season........that just tells you there is something wrong with what is happening today.....
Wanny was a terrible GM and a bad head coach. If he had not been blessed with Patrick Surtain, Sam Madison, Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor, he probably wouldn't have won more than 4-5 games in any given year.
I am a fan of Sparano, but I believe he was getting brainwashed the same time Henne was, by Parcells and Henning. Their "old-school" style of play is exactly that, old. You know what makes a great offense coordinator? A great quarterback. Not good, GREAT! If you look at your franchise teams, the teams that every year are locks to make the playoffs, they all have a great QB. As long as Manning, Brady, Rivers, Vick, are playing, their teams have a solid shot at making postseason. It starts with the QB folks, and letting him play.

BINGO. That's what I keep saying. You need a franchise QB. you take LUCK at all costs, give up wake, marshal, etc all that shit and you start fresh with a top qb. It's how it's done. If we don't do that. Expect mediocre play year after year.
I really think Locker will be a better pro. Hopefully the lack of attention to him will continue and he falls to us. That kid has serious talent, just didn't have alot around him at Washington.

It makes me wonder how the hell we went 11-5 in 2008 with such sorry coaches. I can't figure it out.
I wonder who likes to be on top, Sparano or Henning? Sparano sounds like he's dating Henning and can't possible say anything bad about his old ass. I can't read the stupidity that comes out of this idiots mouth anymore. He was a better coach when he was fat

You do that and it will take at least 3 to 4 years to compete for the playoffs. And the coaching staff will be fired again and then another 3 or 4 years. And thats if Luck doesn't get hurt or stinks.
You don't break up a team that is solid for the most part and expect to build them up again in a year or two.

Sunglasses? Are you kidding me, not even with binoculars this guy can see what's wrong with this team

LOL, yeah dude. I think his sugar dropped too much when he lost all that weight, it's affected his coaching

By not publicly berating Henning it's likely out of respect and what he would deem professionalism. Hopefully he realizes the truth like the rest of us.
Sparano is a good guy, cares about his players, but I think he tries to hard to play the role of 'coach'. For example, this whole "feed the wolf" thing, and after games, his lockerroom speeches are all cliche. These are grown ass men, you don't have to play headgames. If you look at coaches like Bilichek, Cowher, Harbaugh, they aren't saying/doing stuff like that to convey the message. I guess its Sparano's personality, and if he tried to change his style, it wouldn't be him.
In highschool I had a coach that was a complete ass. Could not stand the guy, but he got my 110% every game, because I didn't want to get bench or get discipline. He was very stern, never showed he care, but we won.
HOw about they rest of you guys? Anyone have the hardass, or a players coach? Which is better?
