You said it!!!!!

Mediocrity....we've become a lower tier organization, with the likes of the Bills, Bengals, Browns, Lions, and Broncos.

People laugh at me when I tell them I'm a Dolphins fan. They really do.

Our personnel (players) are not that bad, of course we need better coaching and a few key pieces on the Offensive side of the ball (QB/RB/OL). Defense is pretty good, secondary could still use some tackling lessons however.

If Cowher comes, we got a chance for the playoffs in a couple of years. If anyone else gets placed in charge, we will become the new Lions until at least 2018.

Umm. Rephrase. A waste for the past 4 decades. Think of our last superbowl win. Most on this site were not born. Lol

the last time this team had a chance at the SB was 1992 when we lost the AFC champ game to the bills. a year or so later we had a pretty good team but lost to SD when Stoyo missed that FG. we haven't been a legit contender since. So that's almost 20 years now. the last time we were in the SB I was 10 years old!!

That last one was the year before Shula left. It's pretty easy to figure out what happened. You don't replace Don Shula, who I think is the greatest NFL coach in history, overnight...or in 16 years. Just like you don't replace Dan Marino easily either.

I was hopeful that Parcells would give us that new identity and winning attitude that we seemed to be missing since Shula left...but, as ghotirule so eloquently pointed out, Huizenga pretty much assured that wouldn't happen.

I know it's after the fact now but I never was impressed with Parcells. His success after the Giants kind of declined inversely to the amount of control he had.

I'll go ahead and throw this out since it's a possibility. I'm afraid Cowher would be more of the same. With the talent he had he should have filled the Steelers other hand with super bowl rings. Remember the 'Slash' experiment? That cost them at least two. I for one would rather see Gruden.

Excellent point. Excellent observation.

In the past decade, our won-loss record comes out about even. When you think of 50% it means we might win or we might lose. A toss up every time we play.

The Dolphins play two more games. Next Sunday it's the Lions followed by the Patriots. It is possible for the team to loss both of these games. However, I'm going to go with an 8-8 season, as I predicted at the beginning of the 2010 season A win over the Lions and a trouncing by the Patriots, I believe, is likely.

Another disappointing football season. When are we going to see 12 wins again and a playoff berth? drinking smiley

12 win season my guess. 4 years from now, no sooner

This team isn't going to win twelve games with a head coach who does a crazily excited fist pump every time his offense stalls at the opposing 30 yard line and kicks a 45 yard fg.

Yea but didn't Wayne make a ton of money dealing in the turd and garbage biz?

He's got that turdy touch as they say...

I don't blame Heizengua, I can blame him for being too trusting and being a hands off owner, but if he was more like Jery Jones people would be complaining that he needs to back off and let the football people do their job.

He brought in every top candidate at the time and they each took a turn crapping on him. If I blame someone I blame the front office and personel department along with the coaches. They hired the players they prepared for the draft and they quite. Something is broken inside this organization and until that is fixed Lombardi can coach here and we will not win crap.
