And if you thought henne was strugling while having some time in the pocket imagine now.

The stiff that replaced carey strugled all game against the jets.

Now for all that critisized carey for missing a few plays ( including me ) now we going to see that carey wasn't so bad afterall.

Dam, this just proves the point that we really need to build a legit OL. That is a freaking must.

Agreed 1000 percent. I would not mind if we go OL and RB and receiver the entire draft. Especially OL.

I mean our DL is set. Maybe another inside LB in free agency. Our run defense is very good. If odrick comes back strong next year we are set.

With young developing DBs and safeties for the next decade.

Again our defense is set!!smileys with beer

Now lets go get an offense.

Leonquotefromlinkconfused smileyo do we bring Quinn in for a shot? No doubt we can get him cheap.

I was one of the ones that wanted quinn at that moment instead of ginn. I think the mayority did.

Im in favor of bringing him in for a look. But give him a legit interior OL for god sakes. Center and a couple of guards that are worth something.

Nobody is going to succeed behind our O-line.

and no i havent given up on henne.....Thats the last thing i will do as long as he is a member of this team.

I have to admit its frustrating as hell to see the way he is playing. It is.

But i wont give up on him as long as he is a member of the miami dolphins.

Troy Aikman went 1-15 with the cowboys once.

Meaning there is always hope.

PS> some of you have a shot fuse when talking about henne and its understandable.

So, should we place bets on if/when Henne will get injured again? With a RT that's a turnstile, it's only a matter of time.

I don't know why the regeim's plan on depth at the OT position seemed to have been base entitely on hoping no one gets hurt. They have backed up the RT and LT position with straight up garbage that past 3 years, generally people signed off other team's practice squads or low round rookies. Murtha is horrible. They never tried to get anyone any good and now we will see the results.

No doubt. Hopefully he doesnt get hurt. But IMO its just a matter of time until they get a couple of great hits on him....FROM THE RIGHT SIDE of course.

You know long is a rock on the left.

for those of you that think another ILB is necessary, do not forget Edds will be back next season, and that will really help on pass downs. He is said to be very smart, and with a whole season to learn the defense, he should be able to step right in. What we need in the draft is TE, Offensive Line, and RB. Anything else, we should pick up in FA (including some sort of backup Qcool smiley. I still haven't given up on Henne. Remember, his knee is pretty banged up, so that might be a part of why his play has slipped (especially last week- imagine how painful a bad knee would be in that weather). He still needs a lot more work, but I think he still can be a good QB.

I agree, but we could use some depth at WOLB (probably in lower rounds). I think we should target a Center in the 1st round, a Guard somewhere, and 2 RBs and 2 TEs, just to cover our bases.

Luckily, we have already filled the most difficult piece of the Oline with perhaps the best player in the game at his position.

Unfortunately - the rest of the line is complete garbage.

*When* is this franchise going to learn the value of a good offensive line? Especially the interior. I would make drafting a top notch center priority #1. If we can anchor the C and LT positions, it could cover up for a lot of mistakes elsewhere on the line.

they recognize the value of a good line and have invested a ton in the positions, but the problem is they keep picking/signing the wrong guys (smiley, grove, murphy, thomas, etc)

I was so impressed by Garner last year that I wonder if he's what might allow Carey to move to RG next season.

I disagree---grove and smiley were the big signings but they flamed out due to injury. however, the knock on them all along was they were always hurt, so I don't think you can give them a pass and say they were good players when healthy

Really? Did you see Henne get beat up against the Jets? Murtha is NOT the answer at RT.

Anything is better than Vernon Carey at this point. He has been the burden of the O-Line this year - Gets beat 9 out of 10 plays anymore, looks VERY out of shape, and now looks like hes going to start battling injury problems

Yes I agree Murtha was terrible against the scumbag Jets, but its also some of the first playing time hes seen. Lets see how it goes the rest of the season, and hey, if it doesnt work out there are always options in the offseason (hopefully)
