That performance by Henne yesterday should have cost us the game. Luckily, Fields and the D completely bailed out the offense. And while some of you will blame offensive line, no running game, etc, it was Henne and his complete lack of intuition. We ran well over 100 yards on a defense that was giving up 89. Offense line gave him plenty of time, but he would lock on and hold onto ball to long. So the question is, do you start Thigpen in hopes of boosting the offense, or do you start Henne, hoping he doesn't lose the game for ya?
Im done with this topic almost as much as Im done with Henning. Henne sucks. we know. Thigpen takes it to a new level and I dont wanna hear that KC bull**** cuz he didnt win a thing. stop. just stop.
Thig brings a mobility dimension that would slightly help those receivers get open. Everyone on the defense knows Henne isn't going to take off. Hell, if there was 20 yards of open space infront of him, he wouldn't make it 3 before getting tackled(that happened yesterday). But if you have a qb than can scramble, you have to have someone account for him. Less coverage on receivers. The offense can't be any worse with Thig, lets not forget Henne cost us the Browns game.
Wait KB the game in mention, is the BEARS game where we had our starting left guard at center, and everyone else was injured and eventualy replaced.
Even our starting talent, besides Long, and Incognito sucks, yet they expect some scrubs, and a bunch of 2nd third year wr's and no passing TE, to win the game lol....
Or what SamSam, you just going to continue to post a bunch of ignorant reponse's to my post?
Oh wait yeah you already do that!!
You gonna come beat me up then? No you can't fight either so why shouldnt I talk about mental capacity?
What are you gonna do?
You gonna start being a cool poster, who doesnt start trouble? LOL I tell you what the day you stop being a female dog will be the day I will well it would be a awsome day SamSam, however with the name of that magnitude, I would be asking for alot.
You are finaly and with Aqua on my ignore list SamSam thanks for the childish talk now be gone!

Dude, what are you talking about? 5 years? Henne's started what...24 games? Not even finished ONE COMPLETE season yet.
If you were keeping up with football, you'd know that Thigpen has had significantly more than ONE game. He started 11 in KC and won how many? Me thinks ONE!!!
CAN YOU IMAGINE THE OUTCRY IF HENNE WAS STILL STARTING 11 GAMES INTO THE SEASON WITH ONE WIN??? THINK ABOUT THAT!!!

Agree.
I still think it's funny though to hear the Henne Groupies clamor for more time, more time and then dismiss Thigpen after one bad game with a makeshift line.
Hey Henne looked decent last year, thats why they still love him.
However he did a 180 flop and many believe that its the sophmore slump, which isnt correct, because this is his third season.
Also with horrible game calling, it brings even more contention about is he the real deal, and the last thing, is the dropped pass's.
All that add's up to the fact that many on here are still wishing he is the one partly because we have been waiting for Dan Marino the second comming, since Dan Marino the first comming.
Lets face the fact's regardless there will never be another Marino.

RESPONSE: Is that IT???? Is that all it is. Is this why you are "WeLead-ing" the Board, Nastyfish???????? I personally know of no-one on this board, least of all me, that does NOT think we need to be looking at the qb position this off-season. Some think at the top of the draft, I think at the bottom of the draft or free agency.
So when PhinJim says that, he is basically saying that we need to look at QB in the off season. If that is all you are saying, then you are vastly overstating your position by the posts you have made.
I don't think anyone is saying that "Hey, Henne will be a future all-star," but a lot of us are saying "We don't know NOW that Henne will NOT be a future all-star." And so, all this talk of "He sucks," "get rid of him," etc. is going overboard the other way. You have been taking that position so when you say "Bingo" to PhinJim's post, either you are saying something he is not saying or you are trying to put him in a "Henne sucks" category I am not sure he would agree with.

Perhaps. But you've also got to keep in mind the coaches see Thiggy in practice every day and if they felt he was the better alternative they'd probably give him more PT.
I'm sure the staff is also doing everything they can to avoid a QB controversy and lacking a clear conviction on Thiggy, and inversely a “throw in the towel” on Henne, they’ll play it safe and maintain the status quo.
In the meantime the team is learning how to “win” with one hand tied behind the back when it come to Quarterbacking, so that makes ‘em tough minded and NASTY!

OK. I can't quite bite on that conspiracy theory either.
