You watch. We'll take 2 QB's this draft because Ireland likes doubling down. It's a smart way to spread risk, maximize competition AND send a clear message to all parties concerned -- including fans I might add.
BNF - he might take 2, but in the past when he's done it, it has been in cases where both could end up on the field at the same time (DE, CB, WR) and in the cases of at least DE & WR, there's a good bit of rotation among a larger group than just the starters. Also, when he has done it, it has been with both picks being among the first 3 rounds (ok, Hartline in the 4th...but other than that). I'm not saying he won't do it, but it would be very unusual to have two rookie QB among your first 3 - at most 4 - rounds when right now we don't have a 2nd round pick.

You’re right. The lack of a 2nd hurts my plan. Depending on where we end up, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ireland trades down again to pick up a 2nd. Beyond that, we have some talent to play with on the DL that he might be willing to trade – Merling being the most obvious.
Random note: I’m watching a bit of the Detroit game – Ndamukong Suh may already be the best D player in the league. The dude is an absolute Terrorist. BIG. Unreal power. Fast and downright NASTY! He’s one BIG DUDE who didn’t have major surgery in college either. One nasty SOB like that on our team and Brady would mess himself against us.
