The site is probably outdated regarding that. I haven't kept track. Overall, though, it should be accurate.

McNabb will be cut before the new season starts. The contract he signed really makes that a sure thing---if he's on the team after the 1st game they have to pay him all that $, if not then they pay him only like $3 million. I don't want him either way, though, he's pretty much done.

Billy Volek has proven that he is a legit NFL QB and of all the guys on that list I think he is easily the best option, even if he is 34.

Kevin Kolb might be available in trade, too.

sick of trading our picks for the next feelie..

We need to give henne some weapons and another year starting.

Then if he doesnt develop next year, draft a QB in the first round.

I would hate to give up on henne then he becomes great on another team.

Henne needs a bus ticket back to Michigan.

A guy who stares down his receivers, makes bonehead throws, and flat out misses open guys isn't going to join another team and magically become great.

But hey, it's "just football."

Hmmm. He was an UFA, and now he plays behind one of the hottest QBs in the league. He could definitely be a viable option. Certainly better than Patrick Ramsey.

If he is 34 he is not the future. He'll be playing in crutches..Even if he plays for a couple of years then what. We are right back where we started.

We need to draft and groom a QB if henne isnt the answer. Just give him another year and make sure he isn't.

This coming year isn't the year to draft a QB. We have too many other needs, and, besides Luck, there isn't much out there. Volek would be a stop-gap, yes, but we need one. Without Pennington, we need a vet QB to be a reliable backup and, if necessary, push the starter. I don't think Thigpen is the answer.

I think this team is a playoff team and possible SB contender next year with a decent veteran QB. We're 6-6 and I think at least 2-3 of those losses were very winnable games if Pennington was playing instead of Thigpen or Henne.

Maybe I'm underestimating just how bad Dan Henning is because I find it hard to believe a guy who has been coaching in the league for 30+ years can be as incompetent as he appears to be.

Thigpen is not the answer. Agreed.

The only thing that i thought set thigpen apart from henne was his scrambling ability and pocket awareness that he showed when we played kansas city a while back.

He showed no signs of that whatsoever in the bears game.

I haven't watched a ton of games this year, but Vick has apparently reinvented himself. I'm not ga-ga for him, but I do think he brings more to the table than the folks that will likely be available.

NO to Vick. That's my personal opinion. It has nothing to do with his QB play.

No Philly QBs. I said it in another topic: Andy Reid is otherworldly when it comes to getting production out of QBs. His offense is designed for it.

Bring any of those QBs to Miami and they instantly lose a step simply because we are built to be a running team.

Got it, Monty. I see things differently with respect to him and who he is/what he did. What he did=reprehensible. Who his is...question in my mind...forgiven, remorseful, changed person? same old Vick. I'm not really sure.

If that could be determined, my #1 question wrt him would be whether he'd be as effective playing for our team or if Reid's Eagles are the perfect storm for him.

Finally, to be clear, I haven't totally given up on Henne. I still think there's a chance with him. However, I'm not comfortable with Henne/Thigpen/Pennington as our 3 in 2011.

Futt - I hear you re: Philly, but Vick is a running team guy, too. I think he wouldn't be as prolific for us as in Philly, but still better than anyone on the list.

My thought on Volek is that if he was that good, he would have somehow been given a real opp sometime and it would have proven out...at 34, he's sort of Kitna to me.

I'd rather have Jon Kitna than Chad Henne next year.

Vick isn't going to be available anyway. The Eagles will franchise him and wouldn't let him go for less than any sane team would give

I really wouldn't want vick on this team..Like monte said it has nothing to do with QB play..

But why would the eagles let him go he is playing to pro bowl level.

I think Vick will get the tag and I doubt we'd work a deal to get him here.

BUT what's a QB like him worth? I've admitted that I used to think OL was the single most important on-field player/unit to determine a team's success. I have only recently given QB a slight edge in importance as the #1 component.

SO if QB is the single most important player/unit, then why would we not be aggressive in getting that most important piece in place? I look at this list and look at the QBs available in the draft and think that my draft picks and money might be best spent on Vick. I'm not certain of that, but:
- an incredible athletic specimen that stresses defenses in ways other QBs just can't - arm & legs
- seems to have developed into a true QB, not just an incredible athlete
- seems to have overcome things in his personal life and matured (I admit - I'm a person who wants to forgive and give 2nd chances to penitent, remorseful people)

Right now, 30-year old Vick is more of a sure thing in my mind than the top QB prospect in the draft (who will command the #1 pick and a huge salary absent a dramatically reduced rookie pay scale) and head and shoulders above any FA QB I can think of.

I'm not even suggesting that we dump Henne or don't allow him to compete for the starting QB position. I still hold out hope for him.

With season left to play and a labor deal still cloudy, I get that there are tons of unknowns. However, if QB is the #1 priority, I would treat it as such.

Problem is, this big important piece can become a huge liability if you end up with the wrong guy. QB's are very often the highest paid players on your team. If you use a high draft pick on a guy (either draft or trade) and pay him a ton of money, then he ends up being a bust, you're stuck with a big salary and wasted draft picks. Meanwhile, you'll probably miss out on someone else who WOULD be good. Often teams are pressured to play these guys anyway because of how much money they make and the P.R. nightmare it would cause if you benched or cut him.

Just look at what we went through with Culpepper and Feely. Wasted money; wasted draft picks. Have we even recovered from that yet?

I will give McDaniels credit he is a good QB developer, thats about it.

Tebow will surprise alot of people when, and if he starts.

He has what 4 td's this year? 5 and he played like 10 mins worth of playing lol...

I was never, truly, sold on Vick as a player. In Philly he's the product of a system. Andy Reid is a genius at implementing QB-friendly systems. Remember A.J.Feely?

Think back to Vick in Atlanta. In his last season there teams began to figure him out defensively. Teams would contain him so he couldn't run. Then he'd be forced to be a pocket passer. As good as his passes look now, Vick is NOT a pocket passer. We're built for a pocket passer. Without a major overhaul of OC and players, we wouldn't be a good fit for Vick.
