I'm not trying to speak for Montequi, but it does not sound racist to me. The players mentioned might be black but I see the point that they are very mobile but seemed to lack being a student of the game. They used their physical ability first. That's what I think his point is.

My point is... he points out a group of white QB's as the dudes with a brain and a group of blacks and says... Well, c'mon, let's be honest...

That's not racist? Please help me -- what am I missing?

Oh great. The race card is out. Leon got my point.

Race card? Whatever.

You didn't answer my simple question.

What EXACTLY are you trying to say?

Black athletic dudes can't cut it as NFL QB's?

Or inferior athletes that are white can make it because they have "brains?"

You're the one who framed YOUR POINT in a very obvious back and white "color," so I'd say you're the one playing the "race card."

But like I said. Help me understand what you're really saying if I'm somehow missing it.

Hey Nasty, I said NOTHING about black and white. I compared athletic QBs to ones that used their smarts to overcome their physical limitations. YOU were the one who said it was racist. Hence, YOU pulled out the race card.

That must be a term unique to Florida. I've never heard it before.

The more days go by, the more intrigued I am about Cam Newton.

Randall Cunningham 207 career td 134 int's
Bernie Kosar 96 Career td 117 int's

I would take Cunningham over both Kosar and Pennington

I'd take Kosar in his prime, but that's just me. Bernie was a heartbeat for the Superbowl twice. His career dropped off fast, though, after that 2nd loss in the AFC Championship game.

Cunningham had a long career with 2 teams, but I don't recall him ever getting very far in the playoffs.

why are you making Sh*t up about my boy bernie? He had no where near 117 ints or more INTs than TDs. He had 87 vs 124 TDs. In fact I think he may hold the record for most consecutive attempts without an INT

TOTAL 1,994 3,365 59.3 23,301 6.9 124 87 273 1,660 81.8 180 265 1.5 5 20 4

I think what the answer in question is, that College team's nowaday go two routs, spread or pro style, and a little combination of both.

In the spread you need a guy that is very quick athletic and a good runner, which just happens to be that the black man on average for whatever reason is just very gifted physicaly, so of course that makes the fit, however its not always the case, I.E Tebow, Martinez for Nebraska, Thigpen, Young, ect ect again just going on the stereotype lose generlization for this topic.

Where as the pro style you need a guy who is good at reading and adjusting the play's while standing in the pocket, and well Ive noticed with sports like Hockey and racing white guys have really good reaction times, and are known for there intelect more than our athlectic ability, so that school go's out and find's one to run it, however that is not always the case, and is just a very lose generlization, and hince you have Mcnab, Moon, Gerrard ect...

So is it that one race is ultimatly smarter or more phsyical? I don't know I just giving out a general belief not a fact, however it might be, MAYBE the spread offense schools just don't teach there QB's to think like a pro style qb and that is the reason why most of them fail in the NFL, because it is a totaly new system that takes years to overcome, and adapt too.

Or it could be the generlization of the stereotype, who the hell knows.

I know one thing though I have been a member here for 2-3 years and I havnt run across a racist guy yet, but who know's.

So please no need for anyone to get all huffy, and puffy over a question, or remark that hold's merit, about the ability of a person, and the stereotype of that person.

Arn't we all dolphin fans, that cheer with beer, and hi-five when we win?

Haven't seen Locker much. Got to admit, Newton is strong and looks impressive, but so was/did Brady Quinn. As we have learned from Henne in regards to his passing ability, A strong arm + College accuracy <> NFL accuracy. The windows are smaller and close very quickly with the speed and athleticism of the DB's

Don't know exactly how you go about judging this but if that is there...

I don't know shit about the college crop this year.

First time in a long time I really didn't even watch any games.

But let's take 2 QB's and recover from this mess
next year in the spring. Heck

I don't care if we draft 5 QB's. Just find a solution

and then we can move on to Plan C Phase 3 v7.q

He's comparing pocket passers and improvisers to scrambling QB's. Not white vs. black.
