And who with any sense would say TO ME that Brady is better than "Marino EVER WAS."

As for the Marino vs Brady thing. He is obviously on crack. Although I would put Brady in top 5 ever

I dont think Brady is better than Manning, only on a much better team, with a much better system, and an even better (and cheating) Head Coach.

By the way, very disappointed in the type of person Marino is, know a few close friends of mine who know him and I met him once. Total dick actually. Very disappointed to see that in him, and met Namath who was a gentleman.

My brother in law has played golf with Marino a few times. Says he is the nicest person. Also a buddy of mine works for the NFL and has met the who's who. He also told me Marino is a great down to earth and very humble guy. Guess you didn't make much of an impression on him .

I am a dolphin fan through and through but I am not blind. Brady is one of the best to play the game.

Aqua I like Manning I think the guy is a brain but I believe Brady is a better QB. If I'm in the big game down by 6 with 1 minute left I want Brady as my QB

Then by your logic Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams are better QBs than Dan Marino. Because they have more rings.

That's funny, I've met Marino a couple of times. He was not that way at all to me. He and his wife are great people. Very classy.

I've never met Namath but he sure as hell isn't a gentleman. He proved it in front of many millions of people--he damn near committed sexual assault on a female reporter on live television... "who cares about my team strugg-a-ling.. I wanna kiss yeewwwww" Wow what a gentleman. Also lots of gentlemen wear panty hose too right?

I've never heard anyone say anything like that about Marino. He's supposed to be a great guy, does a lot of charitable work behind the scenes. I met him once briefly at a restaurant and he very graciously signed an autograph for me and was very nice.

Namath was a great guy. Met him several times when I worked at the Miami Airport. Face it, he was a single guy that loved to party. Nothing wrong with that.
He would travel from NYC to Mia then to Panama City to meet a girl friend. He would be at the airport for a couple hours. He would always come up and talk Football with us instead of going to the VIP lounge. We would laugh and joke around.

Once I was working a flight to NYC. There were only 3 seats left in first class. An older gentlemen was just in front of Joe and his friend. The older guy wanted a seat in a row that had two together.
Joe asked him very politely if he would allow him and his friend to sit together.
The old guy recognized Joe and said' "Well sonny you've been calling the shots for a while now, you might as well call this one too"
Got a great laugh out of that.
Joe was fun and always nice.

No, nothing wrong with that in general, but did you see what he did on national TV? It was disturbing. Alcohol is one helluva drug but the guy was out of control.

I'm glad that you can provide an example of him behaving himself as a good guy, and I believe your account of things.

I don't remmmember seeing that but don't doubt it. I guess he liked to drink.

But I will say this about Joe..he did apologize profusely and sought treatment soon afterward. I think he's been on an even keel ever since.
