still believes in Sparano or Henne to me their both dead men walking. Man I hope we go out and get Bill Cowher or some one else like. I am tired of the mediocrity and the wait til next year every year clearly our brand of football is not very good ,and we need to clean house in the worst way possible.
I do not know about Henne yes he has his problems, but until he gets a real OC and a new head coach I will give him the benefit of he doubt. I am done with Sparano and Henning however!
The OC, although bad, is not going to help him make good passes, decisions, or perform in crunch time. The coach needs to have the sense to go to option 2.

The play calls, formations, and routes can all help give the QB more options so he isn't forced to make risky passes. A stronger O-Line performance will also keep him for getting nervous, which affects a QB's decision making. Just look at Peyton Manning's last 2 games.
So, I see it falling primarly on the coaches here and only secondly on Henne himself.

I disagree with this. Henne had a good running game yesterday, the play calling, although not great some of the time, was not all bad, the Defense played great and only gave up 10 points. The last three I don't count.
Henne lost this game flat out. His play was just plane bad. Face it, Henne was just plane bad.
The only way this team improves is get rid of Henning and make a qb change. I hate to say that but it's time.
You can look at other QBs that took 3 or more years to become good. But they all could hit the target and make the big plays. This guy can't do it when the team needs it most. Time and again we wait for him to imporve and he just doesn't.
It's not the coaches, except Henning. With the running game we had yesterday this offense should have scored at least 3 TDs. That is just the way it is.

So, how can you blame the loss on Henne, then? Did he audible out of runs and pass instead? I doubt it. That was Henning's fault.
Our team has simply become a mediocre football team. Certainly not what we fans who remember the 70's and 80's were used to. I think your right Shady. A tweak here and tweak there aren't going to help. It's time to throw the baby out WITH the bath water and find some people who care about winning instead of proving themselves and their methods right.

Now im clapping, finally people coming to see the light. The realists come out of the shadows
We need a head coach will live breathe and eat football, not one who wears sunglasses at night. We need Bill Cowher or someone very similar to Bill Cowher.

It took Bill Cowher 15 years to win a Championship and many years of mediocrity, Do you all remember history, or is it rewritten in your mind. Cowher took 15 years and had such missteps as going with Kordell Stewart for a couple of years... Yet Sparano is not entitled to have any and only 3 years before he is abandonded.
So if in 3 years of Cowher, he cant get us passed the first round of the play offs do we fire him then too... COme on, we need to give the coaches time to get it right. Not abandon everything after a mere 3 years, that is foolish,
here's the difference b/w Cowher and Sporano, look at Bill's first few years as coach, first place every year but one, when he was 2d. Sporano went 11-5 his first year and regressed since. No comparison.
Agreed, the coaching staff should stay with the exception of Henning...the conservative approach needs to be abandoned. We need a system that attacks defenses and imposes its will. More three and four WR sets and making more space fot the RB's and TE's to work in.
Then we need a massive infusion of speed and ability to get open quickly.
A new offensive system could go a long way toward fixing our issues.
Henne must turn the corner this off season however because it would be his 28th game as a starter if he starts opening day just two games short of starting two seasons.

Oh this again. What's next, making fun of Stephen Hawking's posture and speaking capability? You know Sparano is not Corey Hart, he actually *has* to wear sunglasses almost all the time.

Can we please get over the fact that we made the playoffs after a 1-15 record. Ok things turned around that year, we had a soft schedule and made the playoffs WOOPIEEE!!! That's in the past get over it.
WHere are we now is what matters?? What direction is this heading? QB sucks, most of our draft picks where are they now? Our OC is a T-REX that thinks we're still wearing leather helmets. Our head coachs favorite player on the team is Carpenter LOL "the kicker" hey atleast we didn't miss on him.
Without NOlans defense and Carpenter, we would probably be 2-10 right now. Look back at the season, 2-10 just might be a bit too generous without those two.
