this team simply sucks

Dear santa, satan, god whomever can grant me a couple wishes...... Please Please Please let our owner fire henning and henne and get us a real damn coordinator and any half brained qb will be better. I am not mad cuz henne had the deflection at the end it happens. but any half way decent qb would not have been in the 3rd and 9 with the game on the line, he blows serious ass, and henning i just can say enough bad things about this stupid morons play calling and absolute inability to "GET IT" between the two of these guys there is simply no chance to play good. so one HAS to go, i simply prefer both to just simply wander away... henne should never see the damn field again period.

Some of the decisions made by Henne and the coaching staff were just inexcusable.

At some point you have to conclude that even these guys, who have years of experience and are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars, are simply dumb and/or incompetent.

I have reached that point.

I'm seriously thinking of becoming a Pats fan they remind me of what the dolphins used to be, a smart coaching staff with talent and a way to win at all costs

Well I can't figure out why its the quarterback's fault that "but any half way decent qb would not have been in the 3rd and 9 with the game on the line."

The reality is that our opportunity to win the game was lost by series we didn't succeed on keeping possession because of erratic play calling, as I have posted because of our inability to catch the ball, letting the Browns catch us with 12 men on the field (although they did not succeed on that series, we might have had more time with the ball).

The fact that Henne just does not have ANY kind of presence or enthusiasm or LEADERSHIP is enough to bleed into the entire team's performance. They all look to him for leadership and he cannot provide it.....that is why it is his fault.

Pats are winners. Unlike this team

He just "out-ed" himself, Ghotirule. He hopes others will follow him. Never believed it until now Dolfan1 but were you a Patsies fan all along?

Oh stop it! Our team does not suck! Neither does our coaching staff aside from O.C. Henning! Henning was great in his day but his day has long passed! We need continuity for a change, so we do not need any coaching changes or Qb changes. Henne deserves through next season at the least to prove he has maxed out his potential and will always play this way. He either gets better or he doesn't.

This coaching regime deserves that fourth year to come full circle. If we are struggling to make the playoffs in our fourth season, than fine, lets start from scratch, but imo, we have been starting from scratch to often since Wanny and not giving our players or personnel enough time to gel.

What bothers me is that with a few minutes left and decent field position with the game on the line, Henne inspires no confidence.

I turned to my friend and said "Watch him throw a pick."

Even Dan Dierdorf is talking about the worry for Miami that Henne will go out there and thrown an INT. No talk of how Henne's got almost two minutes and two time-outs in a tie game.

No, I live in CT, surrounded by winners, UCONN basketball, patriots to the north and jets to the south, so you expect the team you have routed all your life can come back around to a superbowl having waited for 25 years, but ohh no, we keep hiring idiots since the Shula days. New England is about winners, best insulation from the economy, best schools, best pay, get the point?

dolphan4545. In response to his comment about Henne inspiring no confidence.

It's a shame because I will continue to follow and support the team, but I really think it's going to be at least another year of this nonsense unless the team somehow miraculously lands a QB and Tony Sparano figures out how to use his time outs. And Dan Henning decides to retire.

I agree 100%. He is not a leader at all and has no idea how to be a leader. It is something you are born with and no amount of coaching can teach "HEART"

But that was posted a minute after yours. And anyway, I don't see how it relates to the point you made or at least I don't see how you can interpret it that way.

There's no talk of it because it didn't happen. We got the back with a 1:30 left and 1 timeout. And the first playcall of the series was a ridiculous toss sweep to Ronnie Brown.

Whats the difference? Really? Now your just looking for Sh*t to B**ch about! He could have blindly challenged it and lost that time out because he would have been wrong, or he could call a time out and find out from the booth if he should challenge it in which case he wouldn't if it wasn't a fumble! Clearly it wasn't and he didn't challenge it! Either way we lose a time out, so what's your point!?

You're right, but with 1:30 left, needing only a FG, and in possession of a time-out, is it a good sign that the first thing a "neutral" observer thinks is: "Your QB is probably going to throw a pick here?"

My point is that if he simply challenges the play:

1. There is a chance to save the time-out AND overturn the call.
2. Gives your defense more time to catch its breath, since the review will surely take longer than the TO.

It's dumb. There is literally no reason to call a time-out to figure out if you want to challenge a play, when there are only about three minutes left in the game and you still have both challenges available.

And it's an ongoing problem with this team under Sparano. Wasting second-half time-outs.

This team does not suck the coaching staff other than Nolan on the other hand does! That steaming turd that was left on the field today was all Sparano and Henning!

Sorry, your right, I'll just quit football as a sport I like all together. My stepbrother liked the oilers years ago and doesn't even watch or care about football anymore. Might be a better option. At least I can get shit done on Sundays again.

So you wanna start all over again after giving Sparano, ( first time coach mind you ) Three years? And the relationship and trust he has built with his players, You just wanna throw that away now!? Isn't that the same thing we have done since Schula? Sparano and company deserve one more year, that fourth year, to show what they have built! After that, If they are still struggling to get in the playoffs next year then i say, yeah, it's time to move on to a new Coaching staff. I'm sorry but to many changes have been this teams demise since Shula!

Do we really want a new coach, new offensive and defensive systems for players to learn and to watch some other coach release and not resign the players who have built chemistry together only to bring in new players?

then your football IQ is very low. Sorry, not trying to be a di*k. continuity can be very important after constant changes for many years and no time for anyone to get comfortable including coaches and players.

Players can only learn so many new systems and be effective. One more year, and if next year is like this year, than i agree with a coaching change, but not now.

Ok, if that happens I will not watch football next year. It's amazing as it is how much money I have saved by not getting the direct tv football package. Having a shitty team does save you money and time

Continuity? Of what? Offensive ineptness, clock mismanagement, wasted time-outs, poor play-calling?

Do you really want Dan Henning back next season as the OC?
