If Wake and Long are both out, you can forget us winning out. With the injuries we sustained against Tenn, I think we need to start planning for next year.

The NFL totally screwed us with the Pittsburgh game.

The bogus call on Roethlisberger's fumble looks bigger than ever now. If the refs got that right, we would be 6-3 and in much better shape. In fact, based on today's records, we would be in the playoffs. Teams would have to pass us to make the playoffs, and we would have tiebreakers over both Pitt and Ten.

Ok so the Jets and pats play each other, so one of them will have 3 loss's.

NE plays Colts, so?

Both play the bears.

Jets play Cinn.

both still might.

so If we sweep them.

I can see all three teams ending up if we win out. which ? but for f's sake 12-4 being realistic.

I can see all three of our teams ending up 12-4, or Jets, and Pats 12-4 then us 11-5.


The sad part is even if we win out, and say me somehow make playoffs.

There will be a prob 8-8 9-7 team winning the west, while there will bea 11-5 or 12-4 team in the east not making the playoffs, talk about BS, not to mention prob a 10-6 North team, and a 10-6 south team not making it in either lol..

Monty is right--if we lost Long for the year and Wake for any amount of time, we are essentially screwed. Big time. We can deal with the QB injuries (assuming Thigpen doesn't get hurt), but Long and Wake are killers.

Division title is a joke.

I hate it when there are clearly like 5 teams better than the division winner, and they get hosed in the playoffs just because they have even better teams in there division.

Thats one thing I hope would get changed.

Should be 8 teams in each conferance making playoffs. I mean that way 16 out of 32 alot better than 12 out of 32. Would make for MUCH better interesting season especially with the 18 game schedual comming up.

Each division winner should continue to be rewarded and get in regardless.

Beyond that, the remaining four teams (that didn't win a division) with the best records should get in as wildcards.

Dallas upsets NYG
Oak upsets KC
Clev upsets N.E
Jack upsets Indy
Denv upsets K.C
Clev upsets N.O
Ariz upsets N.O

etc...............

There is way to much parody in the NFL this season, nobody has an easy schedule or a guaranteed win against a certain opponent this year.

New England still has 3 games against tough opponents Indy,G.B and the Jets.
They play 4 games against scrappy teams that won't be cakewalks either Lions,Bears,us and becoming competitive of late Buffalo.
New England's defense is also very suspect this year I see the Lions,Colts and Packers putting up a lot of points on them.

The exact same thing can be said for the Jets and us of course.(schedule wise)

Hopefully Long,Wake and Henne are not seriously injured as we are still in the race.

Yeah, if we can beat them both and they both lose a couple of other games (provided they are both in the AFC and are teams we beat) then we are in just as good a shape as are they.

Of course, this is why you can't lose to division rivals at your own home.

You people are nuts, look at our schedule the rest of the way. We could easily go 5-2, maybe 6-1. We've played probably the 5 best teams in the AFC, beat 2 of them (well you get where i'm going with the Pitt game), and hung right with the Jets. Jump off the bandwagon, please!

I love the way you think but the Raiders and Browns and even the Lions are scary opponents at this point, at the beginning of the season I would have marked up a win against those 3.

The Pats and Jets will be very tough games on the road as they always are.

The Bears and the Bills who we play at home are the only games that I a Dolphin fan EXPECT to win at this point.

We need to go 2-1 in the next 3 games, of course 3-0 is possible but the way the next 3 opponents have been playing I'd be satisfied to stay in the hunt with a 2-1 record in the next 3 games!

Our record doesnt matter, if we fail to attain at least 11-5 then we won't make playoffs, 10-6 won't get it done this year, I'm not even sure 11-5 will either.

Hey I agree our team kicks ass Chuck Norris style, my point is the AFC and mainly our division is so locked down, that even if we win out, it will be a tight race with about 8 other teams to get the wildcard, and yes we could win our division. but we need ALOT of help outside this team's own games.

I never said it was over, but like the Pats and us in 08 I just have a feeling that a 11-5 team or better could miss out again this year.

Our problem is we lost to Pitt's and Balt. Two teams which are competiting for division lead, and one Wildcard spot.

Then the Jets and Pats are both 2 games ahead, and best we can do with them is a split in the series.

KC and Oak and SD will be there at the end all prob around 10-6 9-7, maybe a 11-5.

the whole AFC south is stacked so I could see two teams out of that competing with another wildcard spot.

Razor, I never said those were gonna be easy games, but I think they're all winable games, our 4 loses are to the best 4 teams in the division (maybe the league). It's the NFL, no game is easy.
