This was Pennington's record last time he started for us.
We started out last year 0-3 under Pennington.
Get ready to start losing every game guys. Pennington's arm seriously hinders any vertical attack plays our offense has. He ensures our offensive game plan is 90-10 running plays which teams will stack the box and shut us down.
It's unfortunate that we will fall off the cliff, so to speak, in the win column.....which will be an end to coaches, FO guys and this move (benching Henne) will cause a snowball effect.
New coaching staff next season, new schemes, back to 5-11 next season.
This is the dumbest move in the history of our team. They should have atleast started Thigpen.
Pennington is done. We might win 1 game the rest of the season.
actually we were 0-2.5, Henne finished up the SD game
seriously, posting that he was 0-3 last year like that means something for this year is just dumb. I also don't agree with the decision to bench henne, but this is a totally different team than the one that started last year so the 2009 W-L means nothing.
Lol we only got a improved pass protection O-line, and Brandon Marshall, so your right he won't pass the ball at all, and no one will double or triple up Marshall like they do every game.
Man Aqua your being so insightfull its scarey.
Lol its ok though I like the doom and gloom welcome aboard buddy!!

RESPONSE: And we've only got an older set of Ricky and Ronnie since the last time Penny was QBing the team and we've only got no more effective wild-cat like we did when he had what success you ascribe to him.
I'm looking forward to you disappearing in the coming weeks as Pennington performs so horribly even you won't have the nerve to show your "face" on this board again. Like JC says, you'll just disappear.
Consider the possibility that the reason that the Wildcat has quit working is because Penni has NOT been out there lined up as a wide out and threatening the defense with the spector of a gimick play. Henne usually comes off the field and Ronnie runs straight ahead. Maybe they crank up the WildCat again to salvage the season. It's the stuff of a hollywood movie. Maybe we can get Brad Pitt to play Pennington.

Pennington went 0-3 in his last 3 starts so that automatically means he will start 0-3 yet again?????
Pennington's arm is going to prevent us from making plays and winning games????? so how did we win a div title just 2 years ago with Penny at the helm????
The dumbest move in the history of the Miami Dolphins franchise?????
Pennington will only win 1 game as a starter???????
We are going to be 5-11 next season?????? wow can I have the lotto numbers while you're at it? you're on a roll.
You are the kinda fan that I absolutely DESPISE and HATE!!!! It's one thing to be passionate and criticise the team when they don't live up to expectations but to say a hard working, underrated QB like Pennington who lead us to a division title after a 1-15 season will only win 1 game if he is the starter the rest of the way is a complete joke!!!!
If you're really a fan of the team give the guy a chance FFS!!
I'm just about done with this site, so many negative posters who think running an NFL team is so easy a caveman can do it.
This truly feels like an anti-dolphin fan site now.
Don't get me wrong I can critique the team/coaches and players when I feel they don't do a good enough job but I'm not gonna b**ch on a guy that hasn't started a FKN game yet this season.
Say what you want. But the truth is the truth. Pennington is washed up.
Like I said, it should have atleast been Thigpen.
What they have now spoken to the world is.....QB is now our #1 issue going into next season. We have given up on Henne and THigpen. THey are not our answer and we are deciding to finish the season with a guy that might not even play next season.
The words have been spoken, the ride is starting, so just buckle up guys.
Let's take a look at Pennington's stats from last year:
Stats Overview Passing
Year CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT
2009 051 074 413 68.9 5.58 021 001 002 006 76.0
Not very poor, but not great. To me, the big stat is 6 sacks in 2.5 games. That's a whole lot more sacks allowed than what Henne has had this year. You can see they did not give him much time to find the open receiver last year. This year hould be better in pass protection for Pennington. I think he'll do pretty good considering he is very accurate, and should have enough time to find an open receiver. Is he the long time answer? Of course not. Can he come in for a few games and provide a spark offensively? I think so.Lets see what he does this Sunday, and then come back and complain (if necessary).

Not sure if that is sarcasm or not...
The O-Line has been very good at pass protection this year.
I'm not saying the stats tell the whole story- the defense wasn't playing too well early last year either. Purring all of 0-3 on CP is not correct. If Henne didn't play last year, would CP have brought in a 0-16? Of course not.
See thats the problem right there, your putting all the positive energy into the wrong thing, wishing me gone, instea of wishing the Dolphins to win a game.
PhinJim thank you again for the correct and positive post of Penny baby.
I got your back against all the neysayers, in hopes to conform them to the light of awsomness!!!
I mean cmon on this is exciting this is somthing we needed, to get out from the boring lack of offense, this could be HUGE this can be the best damn story in the history of the NFL, who know's it could be the biggest mistake ever I mean this is exciting!!!!
