The QB position is the most important position on the field. Everything starts and ends at QB1. Yes if all else fails, draft or trade until you get it right.

If we win games and make playoffs, coaches will be considered geniuses. Once we lose, say, 3 games, then Thig will get his shot and at end of season, we will know if it was QB's or OC.
My bet is that the play calling is so bad from Henning, that no QB is going to have success.

Funny thing is....he really believes that. Notice after every loss, it was bench henne, henne sucks, henne gave up 24 points, henne allowed 2 blocked punts in one game.
Just wait. Pretty soon, you'll hear penny sucks, penny has a noodle arm, etc. ad nauseum.
I wasn't going to the Oakland game but now I am. Penny gives both the team and the fans some HOPE. Anybody here an West Coast Dolphin fan that's going to be at the game?
I know your post was in jest dolphaholic but I really would rather see Thigpen than Pennington on Sunday.
Don't get me wrong, I like all of our QB's and will pull for this team no matter who's in there but I just believe that Pennington can only take us so far. He's already behind the proverbial 8 ball having to come in midseason after not seeing any game snaps in over a year but then you have to factor in the arm strength.
I just don't think there's any possibility of a deep playoff run with him taking snaps. The teams that will be in the playoffs will have elite D's with elite CB's that will simply NOT respect passes over 30-35 yards b/c they'll know that their speed will be able to compensate for a receiver getting behind them.
Thigpen, on the other hand, has a lot of speed, a good arm, and isn't afraid to make something happen. He's an unknown that could payoff big if given the chance. Plus, wouldn't you want to know if he's worth keeping. He may turn out to be the next Tom Brady or he may be the next Jamarcus Russell. I, for one, would like to know before we trade him away and let another team find out he has the skills to become a great QB.
My point is...Penny doesn't give this team a realistic chance of making the SB. Maybe Thigpen doesn't either but maybe he does...
Ugh, I rather thigpen in there. This team is all @#$%& up, sighing Harris and dumping Allen was stupid, this team is self destructing as it grabs for straws.
so penny will lose then thigpen will lose, then what? will we bring back Pat white? maybe gus frerotte we have seen QB carousels in the past and that got us Jake long... just saying
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry
He helps just like there theory on resting the wildcat for 2 weeks helped you know the other teams forgets about the weapon and we bring it back for major success, only we rested him for a little over a year. But i expect the same result, FAILURE.

The reality is that pennington fits our team style better. Sparano wants to be conservative. Think about our 2008 season, we used to put together 8-9 minute drivese, a 6 minute drive was normal for us. When henne is our trigger man how many 3 and out do we have? (lots) How many 6 minute drives do we have? (rare). With pennington we RARELY have 3 and outs because he understands that you have to win the battle on first down, that means get into 2nd and managble situations.
Furthermore you watch how much better our defense plays when pennington starting, our second half numbers on defense will go up. I will let you smarties that wanna bench pennington figure out why.
